My 22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards/meters all day! Really? Prove it!

I want to bump this thread. (It should be stickied!)

I literally did this at the range today with my custom 10/22, but I didn't record anything. I'm going to head back in a few weekends and report back!

Ok. Not taking any credit yet. But I know this rifle ( Savage MK2 Trr ) is good enough to make this happen. Trigger time is low on this one. I pillar bedded it. Sanded the stock for a perfect free floating barrel. Correct torque screws. Added a cheek rest and bam! I was shooting CCI standard velocity. LRN. 40 grains.
Off a bipod and an old issued sock filled with beans...lol I had a Bushnell 3-13X40mm. Target turrets in .25MOA and most importantly a parallax adjustment.

Yes a flyer!!!

This was at 50 meters. Outside.
Did more similar groupings.
We manage to shoot around -1.5" @ 100 meters the other day. Same cheap ammo.

Today I got Lapua ammo! More trigger time and I will get back to you folks soon!! haha! i am going to do this! :)

I finally had a chance to get out yesterday and give the challenge a try. It was sunny but gusty since I didn't get out as early as I'd hoped and the wind was coming up.

Set up is an Anschutz Match 54, Sightron SIII 8-32x56 and a Sinclair Bipod I forgot my heavy bag at home so made do with my cleaning kit wrapped in a towel. Ammunition was SK Standard Plus

Great fun, I may need to try this one again with a different rifle.
