Thankyou that’s where I get some of my scopes, Hawke and the odd LeapersThanks, gentlemen, for the kind words. I appreciate them.
The HW66 is from D&L, a Weihrauch airgun dealer. This is the first time that I'm aware of that they have brought in powder burning guns.
I went out today with the intention of coming close to completing the challenge. I did succeed in my goal, but not in completing the challenge. Out of my five groupings, only three of them were under 1/2". One of them was just under 3/4" and the other was 7/8".
It was a fairly windy day, so there's that going against me. I also realize now that I have the wrong scope. The Nikon 4-12 has its parallax set to 75 yards. Time to go shopping!

It is possible to adjust the parallax on a non-AO scope! You just use a rubber strap wrench to crack the front ring off the objective, then use a thin Allen key placed into the revealed slots on the objective and turn it out anti-clockwise until you are parallax free at 50 yards. You must be ultra careful not to go too far and break the gas seal, so don't try setting it to 25 yards, but you're totally fine for 50.
