My 22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards/meters all day! Really? Prove it!

A little cool and perhaps a better day could have be picked but 3 degrees will have to do.

Cooper M57 Jackson Squirrel Rifle
Leupold BR36
Ammo: Remington Eley Match at 1062 (published velocity)

Nice Squirrel rifle, horseman2. Will have to trial mine out too; just installed new optics.

Great shooting I added you to the successful list.

Ladies and Gentlemen

Tonight calls for a celebration! May I present you with the first fully qualifying target for the 1/4" club! This has been a long time coming. Two years of shooting with my custom 455, thousands of dollars worth of ammo, innumerable close calls, yet today the planets and stars finally aligned. It was a few degrees above freezing, with very calm wind conditions. I had the range all to myself, so I could get in my rhythm and not be disturbed, which makes for a pleasant range day.

The Rifle: CZ 455 in custom Boyd's Pro-Varmint stock with custom, 24" straight 0.850" 3-groove Lilja barrel. Harrell's tuner at 238.
The Scope: Leupold Competition 45X
The Ammo: RWS R-50 Lot# 417IL319
The Rest: Caldwell Rock, wide front bag. Caldwell Rear Bag
Groups: 0.211", 0.244", 0.235", 0.209", 0.219"
Average: 0.224"

A celebratory beverage of home brewed German style Pils makes for a fine accompaniment to this lifetime achievement :)

Congratulations on the first fully qualifying target posted!
Lucky you got the first flyer on the left/under group and adjusted your point of aim accordingly?

Congratulations on the first fully qualifying target posted. How did you sort the ammo?

Thank you, sir. I sorted base-to-ogive with the G3 measuring tool, to the nearest thou. For example, the Lapua Polar Biathlon pictured below reads 15.5, and would be boxed/labeled as "15".

Thanks. No flyer, that was the first group shot as I worked my way from the bottom up the target. I had been previously shooting Lapua, shot that group then adjusted the scope for the remaining four groups.

Cheers, guys! I guess my CZ will collect dust in the safe now while I try to get some other project rifle into the 1/4" club too :d
