Well done grauhanen! You might get better harmonics with fluorocarbon fishing line though, and keep that pesky 0.300" at bay! I recall seeing you've ordered some barrel tuners? Are you fitting one to that 1907 BR? Couple the tuner with lot testing, methinks you can get that sweetheart into the 0.1's.
My 22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards/meters all day! Really? Prove it!

Thanks. I have a Lowey's tuner for the 1907 on it's way to me. It left Oz five weeks ago, so it must be in the hands of customs. I was also able to find a Harrell's tuner. It was not custom bored for any particular rifle, but it's standard 0.750" size coincidentally fits the second KKM I recently got. I'll try it on the Walther first before doing anything else with it.
Thanks, Ryan. This is only the second time with this rifle. With the BR 50 U7 stock, which doesn't have a butt pad and doesn't contact the shoulder, it took a little trial and error to figure out how it responds. I imagine it can do better with Center X or better ammo.
Nice "string" of shots. I added you to the successful listSounds like you're grousing about guys like me. On cue, therefore, here goes another not difficult shooting. I did it by setting my rifle up on my fancy rest and rear bag and turning the magnification up to eleven and loading. Then I turned and faced away from the rifle for each shot. I used a mirror to see through the scope and I pulled a string I attached to the trigger. Still this was too easy, but I have to confess that I was only using SK Standard Plus -- to make it more sporting. Distance was 57.3 yards (172' 4" from the shooting building to the target). Next time I'm going to do it free hand with a lightweight sporter with a scope set at 2X.

Anschutz 1907 BR with a Sightron SIII 10-50.
Ammo was SK Standard Plus.
Distance 57.3 yards.

I got my second Walther KKM a few months ago. Unlike my first, this one has a date stamped on it -- 1962. The first time I shot it was two weeks ago, and like a lot of rifles it responds well when it is held a certain way. Two weeks ago I didn't figure it out. Today I had better luck. I have to say it again, these rifles have sweet triggers.

Time for another one I suppose, gotta have a few regular type rifles in here to keep it interesting. This one took 9 targets 4 a couple days ago and 5 today. Targets would average under 1/2 but one mostly sometimes 2 would double group so I cheated a bit with the elastic band on the stock. And also dipped into my arsenal and used a small rear bag this time instead of my usual bag of wheat. Also upgraded the bench from the '87 GM 4x4 1/2 ton to the 2500HD Duramax from the previous successful attempt with my Ruger 77/22. The first day I had used one of those small fold up tables and seemed to help today with the HD.
I bought this rifle used last year and it has a bit of rust on the barrel and nicks in the stock, I put a muller APV 4.5-14 I got used on here based in stuff I read on RFC and shot it with a few kinds of ammo last summer. It seemed to be around 3/4"-1 most of the time. Though I'd piss around with a sub 500 buck rig up and see what it could do.
Norinco NS522 - Bare bones stock although I cleaned it and screws are torqued to 25lbs but loosen by
themselves. Ejects shells back into action regular and needs mag pushed up every once in
while so it will feed. Trigger is weird springy like pellet gun -Other than that it's pretty good!
Nikon pro5 4.5-18 mildot - the APV is overrated IMO so wanted a bit more glass to help me out. It will go back on now that I know this things a laser.
Warne 7.3/22 Rings - nice for rimfire rings, kinda like them.
Lapua Center X ammo - thought I'd like to have one advantage on my side.
Caldwell bags filled with floor dry.
Groups are @ 50yds - .380, .285, .400, .435, .330 Average is .366
edit - looks like ripped myself mid-left should be .285, math corrected/pic replaced

A day out with my CZ 455 Varmint with Lilja match barrel. I accidentally forgot the SK Std and SK Rifle match at home, but gave it a go with the Eley Practice that I did have on hand. From smallest to largest: 0.1730, 0.1795, 0.3095, 0.3445, 0.3495 Average size: 0.2712

Cool, you've probably got one after they switched to the Bentz chamber. I've got a prototype Lilja coming my way from a group buy set up on Rimfire Central. It's back to the EPS Match chamber, cone breech for indexing (glue in if indexed, but has notches for barrel screws if you don't want to glue or index) and has a shim kit so you can set headspace properly to the action. A gunsmith in New York, who customizes many CZs, found that accuracy in the Liljas dropped off a notch after changing to the Bentz Chamber, among other issues with the drop-in platform. He set up this group buy to address all of that, 23 of us went in on it, the results might convince Lilja to switch production to this design. One buyer has posted initial test results and it is looking very, very, promising.
