I finally got around to trying this challenge, this was my first attempt and I am fairly happy with the results.
I was shooting with my CZ 455 in am MDT chassis. I recently put on a CZ varmint fluted barrel, it also has a yodave striker spring and trigger kit and I’m using a Bushnell Banner 6-18x50. I was using Lapua Center X this time but it seems to shoot SK rifle match even better.

Hey djosselyn311, looks like that fluted barrel is working well.:) I decided to get a 455 and IBI barrel, made the challenge first time out but going to play some more before posting it.

Yes it really does shoot well, I can get it down in the .2”s fairly consistently with SK Match. You can’t ask for much more with a factory CZ barrel! Thanks again!

Your new 455 is gorgeous, that’s almost exactly what I was thinking of building next. Those Boyd’s stocks look great and I have seen some impressive groups with those IBI barrels online. Looking forward to your next submission with that rifle!

Great shooting. I added you to the successful list.

Got out to the range for a couple hours tonight and I have another target. I was shooting my Anschutz MPR with a Nikon Monarch 3

The center dot was shot out of my target in the last picture but thankfully you can see the outer holes for measuring, hopefully it still counts!

You should try using a regular target instead of those splatter targets, you’ll get a much more accurate measurement of your groups

Thanks for the tip, I agree they do puncture a little cleaner.
I am trying to find targets that I like with a smaller point or aim. the orange stickers ones I used in a post above worked pretty well. I am kind of picky when it comes to targets. I have seen a few here that look like they would work well, I’d love to know where you guys are getting them.

Nice shooting. I agree, find better targets. Lol. I would add you to the successful list, but it won’t let me. I’m not sure if posts are only allowed to be a certain size or not. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Indeed. For anyone who is unaware, it's not enough to measure from the outer edge of the holes, as the hole itself is somewhat smaller than the diameter of the bullet.

It’s quite a bit smaller, I measured a few holes in the last target I posted at .131”, my bullets measure around .222”
My mistake, guess I won’t be using those anymore.

******I can’t seem to add anymore names to the successful list for some reason. I will still recognize the successful attempts, but no more will be added to the list.*****

A possible solution would be to post a continuing list in this thread. For example, post #3 in this thread can probably be edited to continue the list.

Underthegun can decide what he would like to do. Of course he doesn't have to do anything as he has been so gracious as to keep this thread updated thus far and has no obligation to continue the thread indefinitely.

Great idea. Thanks. The list continues.

Quick question, of all the successful shooters do you have the stats on how many used full rest such as a Caldwell, how many bipod sand how many just bags. So far I have tried with bags and bipod with no luck, my best has been 3 of 5 under 1/2 but always seem to lose a round or two. I have yet to try with a fancy front and rear rest, (too cheap to get one for just this challenge)

No stats, but my guess is MOST used a front rest and a rear bag.

What rifle and what ammo are you using? I doubt the type of rest makes much difference, I could toss my custom 455 on sandbags and bang out 1/2" easy, same with fitting a bipod to it. Quality of rifle and ammo are the main sticking points here.
