In the beginning God said, let there be light.....and so it became. A few thousand years later and Richard says, let there be a 6BR, and lo and behold the start of a rifle build sees the light of day.

Stock Remington XR-100 in 22-250 for now.
Hopefully picking up the barrel for it tomorrow. (Cross Fingers) More pics to follow if it shows up. See Below

Here are a few pics of the stock rifle for now. It's topped with a POS Barska with Target Dot until I can get me a Leupold or a Nightforce for it.

This part attaches to your rail. You can get multiples of this so changing the bipod between rifles is a simple twist of the cam-lock

Great Choice.................

" and God said let there be a 6BR" that is the only way it should be. More people need to see the light.

Them are deadly out to 600 yards and have even been out to 1000.

You will never be sorry.

I'll look around for ya' may have a set for trade.

Thanks Gary, Hey....were you at the Chinese place at the Tudor Villiage for dinner last night (Friday) with your wife? There was a guy there that looked a lot like you but I couldn't tell for certain. You know when you see someone out of the element you would normally not have a problem identifying them, but for some reason not being where you expect to see someone throws you off. If that makes any sense at all :confused:

How much did the barrel cost you?
If I had to pay full price it would have run around $450 for the barrel plus another $150-$180ish for the fluting and somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 for the chambering.

I bought it off another shooter for a lot less than that, he had put 500rnds through it and was not happy with his score of 1000-73x in competition so he removed it from his rifle. I won't say how much because I don't want the cops showing up at my door saying that I stole it.

I think all the tears being shed, it was 375.00 usf. I felt very good value.

Uh-huh

Does remington have a standard thread size and pitch? Are there any charts out there if there are different sizes?

Oh yeah, the Barrel I got is already threaded for Remington so it will screw right onto my action after the action is trued.

I am not 100% sure about ALL Rem actions being the same thread pitch but from I understand I believe they are.
