This part attaches to your rail. You can get multiples of this so changing the bipod between rifles is a simple twist of the cam-lock

That is one of the best pods I have seen. Sure puts a Harris, Parker Hale, AI, SAKO to shame for competition use.

That should be as stable as a pedestal front rest. Beautiful craftsmanship.

Let us know how you shoot with that strapped to your rig.

Jerry

Yes they are an incredible unit thats for sure. I was ecstatic to receive it yesterday let me tell you.

I have shot other's rifles with the same bipod on and it sure tracks better with the skinnier stocks like mine. As it sit's now my stock does not fit the bag so it has a bit of room to move around. I could have bought a smaller front bag to fit the stock better but I really liked the idea of not having to make 3 trips to the mat to set it all up to shoot and then 3 trips back to take it all away for the next shooter. I can get away with 2 trips now.

Henry does an impeccable job on these bipods. And yes the craftsmanship is magnificent.

It was thought by me and others before that these were CNC'd but they are not, apparently he makes them all by hand on (I am assuming) traditional metal work tools and then they get a bead blast finish.

Glad to see you got the pod CyaN1de, thing of beauty eh :D HR does great work. There is a ton of mill work there. Well worth the cost IMO. All his stuff is first rate.

I have one of his rests with 3 windage tops and a speed screw or I'd have one of his pods too.

The one thing that I noticed about it yesterday when I got it, and was fondling it at the range, is that most all of the components are machine screwed together making replacement of any part's a snap. I can't see anything breaking on these but in time if parts wear out then they can be replaced very easily. Most anyone else would have used some kind of a rivet (most likely pop rivets of some sort) which would make changing parts a real PITA if the need arose.

Trying to decide whether that price isn't bad or holy sh!t Batman..............

Where are they from?

Cost me $420 and should last a lifetime of shooting. Considering what Harris bipods are worth ($80-$125) and comparing the build quality of the two I personally think the price is "not bad" as it should be the last bipod I ever need to purchase.

Henry is in Calgary.

I do know this was the last one he had because another shooter wanted one so Paul Reiben was trying to get 2 of them.

$400 for a quality match barrel - good deal.

$400 for a quality bipod to let you shoot to the level of the match barrel - priceless.

I always have a chuckle when I read about shooters spending thousands on all sorts of fancy 'metal' then shooting these rigs off wobbly rests or use lousy fitting stocks.

Any rifle is only as good as the interface between it and the shooter.

If funds limited, I would take the HR bipod with a factory Savage over a match barreled rig with a harris.

Yes, there are many shooters that can do great work on a Harris. I am not one of them.

What does that 'pod weigh? My rifle might need to go on a diet to still make the F/F limit...I need to find a way to procure one of those for next season.

A couple more pics from this weekend cuz I'm in the mood :D

This time it's on the bipod :pirate:

Notice too the Jewell trigger on it :sniper: I forgot to add that I installed it the week before last.

You are right Jerry, but I'm in NB, and we have a wierd class here called MTR. It's basically F/F, except we cannot use a rear bag, and the front rest must be a bipod. I keep argueing that we should all be shooting the same classes, with the same restrictions, but no movement so far. I'd really like to shoot Valcartier and Ottawa, but, if I practice with a front rest in NB, I will be shooting against myself, w/ no chance of prizes or recognition. It looks like the bipod we're discussing might be a good compromise, although there WOULD be some complaining from some of the inflexible shooters.

Tagged for interest. Nice set up!

I am waiting for the paperwork to import a 12-42 BR Nightforce from the US. I will take pics of the whole setup when it's all together. I got my new spotting scope and Ray-Vin scope stand as well...happy days.

I am taking it out this weekend to try my luck at 1500m gongs :pirate:

Very nice rifle. I have the XR-100 in .204. 6mm BR has definately interested me for a long time. Good job.

Does that bipod connect just on the front swivel like a regular one?
How do you find it for shooting?
