My custom 6.5x55

Brownells has something very similar sorry

OP where did you end up getting that floor plate assembly that's something I'd like to get for my mauser build

That Bottom floor plate is from Brownells not from a parker hale
Brownells did sell or maybe still does sell a cheap trigger guard/ floor plate assy with a similar design on it but this isn't one of them.

Pretty sure this is off a PH. I found it used at a local gun show then bead blasted it in my home made cabinet and used a product called Cera-kote ( I think, it's been a while since I did the build) which is a spray and bake product.

Thanks for all the comments everyone!

AP why post and be a downer if it isn't your cup of tea?

Yep!

Sorry -- and you are both right! It was very poor form - and unnecessary -- although I hope JB will accept my apology and also that I think he did an excellent job!!

No apology needed! I appreciated your post and totally understand your points.

Thanks for your compliments on my work! I appreciate that!

Great job on this rifle. I think it's quite visually appealing with that pepper laminate stock. I have always liked the PH bottom plate and the Cera-cote looks like it came out well. Nice build!

jb, your post is quite timely. I bought a M96 Swede Sporter from Trade Ex a couple of years ago. I'm in the process of a making a custom Stock ou of plywood for bench shooting. I still have the original step barrel, though the previous owner cut the barrel down to 27". I
