My CZ's life story

absolutely fantastic.I have a 30 year old BRNO #2 that I stripped and refinished the stock and cut the barrel, but apart from that, just shoot it.I measure accuracy in minute of grouse head

Here is a 5 shot 25 yard group I shot yesterday, prone with bipod and rear bag

Clayne, Great work. Heck you are modifying a whopping $300 gun and guys get their knickers in a knot, same guys who spend thousands modifying their wheels to look better and function worse. Gun guys are not the most logical chaps on the planet.

Want to see some ugly guns, take a look at what the olympians are shooting.

I have two 452's with tiger striped wood that I wouldn't mod like that BUT if I wanted to mod them I'd just get other stocks and go nuts. You can't argue with the results of the OP's grouping, hell , i wish I had an area to shoot that distance nearby.

I'm sitting on the fence on this one.
I wouldn't do that to a fine rifle.
But the results are great.
I was fine up until the rear wood bottom flat got
flatten out.
What the phuck do I know?
Great shooting, that's for sure.
Cheers.

My reasoning for cutting it flat was...

1. I shoot mostly prone with a bipod and it made it taller than i liked while using a rear bag.

2. With it being flat is more easy to be consistent with my elevation. im not dealing with squeezing the bag and moving the gun forward of back for elevation.

3. And that wood sticking down below the plastic cheek rest reminded me of a chicken wing for some reason... HA HA

When i first got this gun it was so purdy. i was scared to scratch it or take it out in the field so i painted it so i would get over it... ha ha And the other mods came out of what fit me best and i thought would improve my shooting. I will have this gun till I die and then it will be my sons ( he is 2 now ). I wish i had a gun that my dad customized for him self to keep forever.... how cool would that be!

Anyways happy shooting yall

it works and thats whats most important. all my guns look used. i scratch my head when i see 30+yr old firearms that have never been fired or look like new come up for sale. i got a old 30-06 that has a little rust and slopy bolt. its my go to gun. its like my truck. dented scratched muddy and needs a little love. but it dose its job and dose it well.

But you sure can't argue with the results. He intended to make it an accurate gun that fits him. That thing is definitely a tack driver...

Personally, I'd take an an ugly, accurate gun over a pretty, inaccurate one any day of the week.

It works for what he uses it for, but it would be my last choice for what the gun was intentionally designed for, which is a 22lr sporter. It would be a real pain carrying that through the woods, or trying to shoot gophers at 50 yards or less.

Kamlooky, I have shot out to 600 yards already, Just need to get it on video so you guys will believe me ha ha

Did I type six?.......
Meant to say seven...........:p

Sure opened my eyes on the distance these will shoot.
Years ago the box of ammo used to say, "Dangerous to one mile".
I think it's been changed to two miles.

How far have you hit a target with the 22 rim?
