My CZ's life story

Christ! I wouldn't even do that to a Savage, let alone a CZ. ;)

Seriously, whatever floats your boat. I think the most offensive part of what you've done is the use of those POS Weaver rings.

new stock +1 %1000 less bubba, that rear cheek rest looked brutal.

Yep! The new one would look killer with a heavy barrel in it. ;-) I gotta agree with some of the other guys as well, Im all for a guy who isn't afraid to make a change to something if he thinks it'll make it more functional.

the same idea, like when you get those guys who put a 3, or 4" lift on their trucks, 35" mudders, but won't even drive on gravel roads, cause they don't wanna scratch the paint. I aint one of those guys.... hell, if i were to buy a new 4x4, i'd take it straight to the bush, get it over with ;-)

What a big surprise it was to open my birthday present from my wife! It was a STOCK from Denny!!! I had mentioned it to her months back that i wanted one.. how did she contact or even know of Denny? She went to my good friend and neighbor/shooting buddy. and asked him if he knew anything of it. I had sent him an email/forward of the parts and stuff that Denny sells a while back. So he contacted him. And made it happen... What a big smile on my face i had when i opened it!!!

I just bought a CZ 452 Scout today based on your reviews Clayne. It looks like it will make one heck of a knock around gun. I don't think I'll do anything crazy to it other than maybe a set of swivel studs and possibly a cheek riser and buttpad extension. I can't wait till it arrives!

Ah stocks are easy to replace anyways. I have to say I like the Nikons though. Got one on my 452 and a 6-16 on my CZ527. Both shoot very well. If you are going to mod then better platform makes for better result I figure. Its still a CZ452. At least the OP has taste in guns. You never know-he might be on to something.

Well done to your wife OP. At least she seems to have a decent idea on aesthetics in buying you the new stock, the other one (IMHO ) looked like a beat up canoe paddle at a boy scout camp.

That said you seem to get good results so keep it up, the pistol grip should make it easier on your broken wrist.

Personally I just don't get on with CZ. They seem to have the only safety that works backwards to any other gun. I just wouldn't have one near me for that reason.

Best Regards, keep up the good shooting

Do you just drive an auto?
What do you do when you need to change gears?
Why limit yourself to not shooting/owning one of these
fine rifles?
So you saw with a hammer and hammer with a saw?
It's a tool, use the tool as intended.
If you can't figure out the safety, don't use it.
Keep the chamber dry until you are ready to shoot.
I just can't imagine what would happen if you were handed
a CRF rifle.

Hi Kamlooky,

Drive whatever you would like. I and the other 60 odd million people who live here actually drive on the wrong side of the road. Go figure.

Its just that we all do it together. We don't have some driving on the right and some on the left at the same time.

As for centrefire, my Sako is just fine. And guess what? It has a proper safety that goes forward to shoot and rearwards to be safe.

I'm glad you are a big fan of CZ. They make good rifles, just not for me. For rimfire I have a 10/22 to take out in the rain and a Sako P95S Varmint for sunny days. My guess is if you ever shot a Sako or Anshultz or Weihrauch you probably wouldn't like CZ quite so much. But to each his own,

Good Luck, and this thread is supposed to be about the orginal OP, and not whether i drive a car with a hammer and saw in my left or right hand.

So you can handle driving on the wrong side of the road... But you can't get a handle on the reverse safety on a .22? Interesting.

You seriously won't go near a CZ because of the safety? Dodgy excuse that... I reckon you're crazy mate. Lol

Hi guys you're correct. My mistake, I'm a new guy and I guess I unwittingly upset the CZ lobby group . As I said they make good guns, and you have further convinced me. I'm selling my Sako's.

Good Shooting

Every thing seems to be paying off. I took 1st place in the last match.

Now i just need to get out and try some long range shooting again!!
