So i decided a while back i wanted the famous M1 garand. I originally wanted to import a CMP special grade rifle chambered in 308. Zdragunov PM'd me and offered his services of building a M1 garand rifle the way i wanted. I then chose a nice literally new old stock never used beretta receiver. i got one with a criterion barrel and nice NOS SA parts. The gun was built VERY well and the performance was second to none. He built the rifle and sent it to me in a nice case for a very good & fair price. I shot the rifle a few times and it performed flawlessly ( except for a few stovepipes which is MY fault for not tightening the gas cylinder down enough). Today i went to go see tacticalteacher in person for a 1 on 1 education session on the m1 garand and m1a. I got to take off and install a barrel on an m1a receiver and learned how to index it properly!. I also learned various tips and tricks on how to tighten up the gun overall to make it a better shooter. Barney offered to show me how to install a barrel on a remington 700 action as well. I plan on making a precision .308 rifle in the near future so i will be going to him for advise and for parts!
. He also teaches long range shooting with the ORA at Base Borden so i will hopefully come to the matches so i can learn how to take my garand to 1000 yards with the iron sights.
All said and done, it was a kickass experience being taught by TacticalTeacher how to install and remove barrels on receivers & indexing them. I'm super happy to know i got a pretty much perfect condition garand as a shooter that is performing flawlessly and will perform for many years and thousands of rounds to come built by Zdragunov. Excuse me now while i go watch band of brothers and fondle and touch my gun....
