After doing some extensive ammo testing today with my Savage MKII BTVS I gave it a "shot" with what looked like the best grouper of the lot: Lapua Center-X. Group on my test target was 0.477" and I shot another warmup group before starting the challenge to get the lube back in the barrel 0.423". Attempt groups were: 0.536" 0.602" 0.531" 0.408" 0.426" average 0.5006". So I managed 4/7 sub 1/2" groups. When I measured test groups back at home Remington/Eley club was my best at 0.382". Success is inevitable with these results just keep at it! I also found the tables at my range rather wobbly itself. Looking down the spotting scope at a 200 yard target was like being on an offroad atv so bouncy.
