my FN FAL got grabed by fn RCMP

I don't understand why/how Prohib handguns can be taken to the range but everything else Prohib has to stay in the house ?

I guess they have less baby & kitten-killing power...

stand together or hang separately i forget who said that one but anyway they way i see it every canadian gun owner should stand up and tell the rcmp they cant bully us anymore its time to stand uo for our selfs. if you say this is a different issue and has nothing to do with hunting guns well sell your guns cut up your PAL and you mite as well cut up all your canadian gov paper work too as your not a real canadian

anyway i hate the fact the make guns prohibited based on the fact they can be converted to full auto i dont get a speeding ticket because my car can go over the speed limit. anything can be converted into full auto with enough time and work this was proven with the lee/bren love child's(if you dont what im talking about there was a number of attemps to make a back up gun because the brens where getting harder to make) from ww2 lol

the rcmp is and has been bullying gun owners for a long time its time stop it there a police force they should not make law they should inforce it

if you really want to help send some letters and petitions to the man him self mr.harper it can be done and it has been done
 
I'm not even sure how they get away with the SAP thing - my LTATT says it is a permission to transport "restricted and prohibited firearms" - doesn't say "restricted and SOME prohibited firearms" - doesn't specify class or type. So why in g*ds name doesn't it mean what it says. How could any court stocked with people who can read (Judges CAN read-right?) penalize anyone for transporting a restricted or prohibited under colour of a permit that says it exists to allow people to transport "restricted or prohibited firearms"
 
I'm in same boat only it's a Zastav M70b. Mine has been gone for 10 months. I have complained to everybody, Mp, Vic Toews, RCMP. No luck. I have just filed a freedom of information to find out what is going on at the RCMP lab since no one there will tell you anthying. Let me know if you get yours back and when

Not much, but... I know that if I'm ever forced to surrender my firearm(s) all that will be handed over is a box of frames...
Y'know... The serialized part of the gun that is "leagally" speaking the firearm.

They won't get barrels/uppers/stockes etc...

On second thought... F* them, they can bring their own box.

exactly. Same here.
 
I seem to recall someone discussing this. It was one of the guns reclassified as prohibited, without grandfathering, several years ago. He tried to surrender only the frame, and was told that if he did that, they would come with a warrant and search for the rest of the parts. This was the story, can't say if this happened or not.

That was exactly what I recalled. Under threat of tearing your house apart until they found the other parts...

Not sure how many of us would stand our ground & watch your place come apart at the seams, especially if your wife &/or kids were there...

A suggestion which has been made involves a form, and a cubic meter of readymix. To be cooperative, lifting handles could be provided in the block.
 
You guys don't even know the half of it. The NFA didn't do anything for the FA owners at all . All they did was watch and wait to see what happened. No money, nothing! They didn't want to be involved in military stuff. They only showed up for the glory when we won in court. It took years to get our stuff from the storage at police stations. I spent a bunch of money in the court and had some guns seized after the fact. Remember re-registration! Why did we have to re-register all of the registered guns? Couldn't they just transfer everything over? They tripped people up on this one and got to destroy guns because you though they were registered!!!!! I had guns sent to the lab in Ottawa that I forgot about, three years later the rcmp phoned me to come and get them! I left the guns in the same condition that I got them from the lab, there are four red seals per gun with string plus some white seals from the crown. The idea that they can't destroy your stuff because the law says so isn't true!!! They have destroyed lots of my stuff and I had the lawyer!!! They make up the law to apply to your situation You have to have a gun type registered to you at all times, if you don't you are out of the game for ever!!! I knew two guys who traded FA's, when the transfers were complete and the post office received the guns to ship to the police for registration. Both guns were destroyed because neither guy was allowed to accept delivery!! They didn't own any FA's. They only had one each.
 
update on my FN ....still sitting at the rcmp ...since May 17th ..we are almost in December ...great fn country

they can not even threaten to tear your house apart if they want the search to be legal
