Questar and another site sponsor on here are the only ones I know of just cant remember the others name right now.

I have one on order with no ETA on it they aint cheap and you have to get one with an aftermarket extended barrel

I like what James Yeager says about that.
"Wear it out"
That's the best thing you can do for it/you.

I know it's cool to have a custom gun and own a magpul'd 870 just for that... but I don't see the point on a Glock.
Many of the parts people change make the gun less reliable and less usable under stress.

Just my opinion.
Buy what you like, but think about whether it helps what you need it to do, or hinders it.

Don't listen to this guy!!!

He is not the sharpest knife in the drawer LOL sorry man had to bug you a bit.

Given that every user on this forum uses there firearms for target shooting or hunting there is no real "stress" situation to account for.
Also, you can easily build a gun up with better components and retail a fully reliable pistol. I would know, I've put more rounds through my old 22C than most shooters on the pro circuit will ever. NEVER did it fail, not a single time.
Granted, there are things you can do to a Glock that make it less reliable. I have played with different primers and striker springs to see how light I can go. I have achieved such a light trigger pull that it was scary. Not reliable due to primer deviations. Many light primer strikes.

With the Glocks I have built I still retain 100% reliability. Won't deviate from that EVER.
Seeing as I have built my own Glocks (now onto 37 in total) and over 30 for other people I feel that I have had enough experience with what works and what does not. Be it the addition of an extended slide stop or a full race gun the principals are all the same.

As for the comments about "why bother" or "there's no point", the same can be said about anything really. Why mod or change anything? The answer is always "because I want to".

Not every person only uses firearms to hunt or punch paper.

And alot of people train with the fire arm as a life saving tool.
So while you claim to have 100% reliable target pistols ( really I dont know if they are or not) some people who still think of the gun as a defensive tool will not put none stock parts in a glock.
I wont use aftermarket parts period (other then sights)
And you cant talk legal this and legal that about the use of guns in Canada but if that bump in the night happens I want to know that my glock will go bang.
And I will hire a lawyer not take up space in a meat cooler.

I have had the pleasure to talk with guy's and train with guys that have used and tried to improve glocks that have top level training and experience.
And will never touch the internals of one.

I would love to see some ATT?ATC applications that read a purpose of "self defense". Show me one of these that's been approved otherwise all the pistols us civilians own are for "target practice".
If it came to it I have no problem putting my life on my Glocks, if you don't that's fine.

Just to be clear you require neither of those in your home. And there have been cases where people have used them.

I got my G34 about a year ago and have followed this thread for some time and have incorporated many of the uprades.
1) competion spring kit Zev.
2) titanium saftey
3) Ghost 3.5 connector
4) tungsten guide rod and 15lbs IMIS spring
5) ultimate trigger stop
6) titanium pins
7) stainless extended mag release Zev
8) Dawson Ice Mag well and Tru Grip / wrap around grip.
9) Storm Stainless barrell
10) skeletonized stainless striker Zev
11) Meprolight adjustable night sights.
12) Extended titanium slide bar release
13) Fulcrum stainless trigger bar with adjustable reset. I just got that. I have been to the range twice since I put it in. I have a two pound trigger pull with all the other upgrades and this thing shoots amazing. I have run out of things to buy, so I guess I am done. I am very happy and pleased with the advise from this thread.... Everyone that shoots my gun is amazed at the triiger pull and the smoothness. I guess my point is the upgrades are worth it. Plus it looks cool! I should post a few pictures. I will do that in the next few days. Thanks again for had the posts, and if anyone has any question feel free to PM me. Brad

Dude, that's one if the nicest I've seen... Good work. When I get my G34 It might just end up like yours. :D

Is there a consensus on US websites that are shipping to Canada?

Looking to pick up sights, guide rod and maybe a 3.5 connector which I'm still on the fence about.

Also, has anyone run into problems with polishing up the trigger linkages? Seen it on YouTube and am intrigued.

My polishing job did wonders. The ghost 3.5 worked well on my gen 4 and I ordered it from rock your glock witch had very good and fast service!

JP Enterprises Extended Magazine Release $24.95 www.glockwarehouse.com

JP Extended Magazine Release. Oversized button enables you to change magazines without shifting your grip.

JPEntMAgRelease.jpg

This magazine release is an item that I have never used before. I have used the OE Glock extended one as well as another polymer one offered by www.glockstore.com.
I found the OE Glock one looked and felt just as bad as the original one in the gun. It just stuck out farther and I wanted something that moved the contact pad further back. This release definitely moves the contact area further back. The actual button head is made of aluminum and anodized black. The body of the release is actually just the OE Glock item that they tapped for the screw to fit in.
This release is not something I would recommend and if I could do it again I would not use this one.

I have used this one on my Glock 22C and I love it. The button does not sit to tall and moves the contact surface further back.

The next one I will use for the Glock 19 will be from LoneWolf
10000_1488.jpg

It seems to stick out just as far as the OE part does (which I like) but moves the contact patch more towards the rear making mag dumps easier.
The only downside to this one is you have to send the frame to LoneWolf to have it opened to accept the release (no going back to stock part after that).

With extended magazine release buttons you may find they do not fit in some holsters so make sure the one you use will fit the gun with the button in place without releasing the magazine!

Ive got one on my glock, haven't taken it to the range yet. Worried my grip might knock the mag out unintentionally.

Going to give it a rip and see how it is. How did you like it ?

answered my own question, like the extended mag release....

On this baby I have Tritium Night sights, Extended mag release and a tactical green laser.... Don't think I do too much more.

Does anyone here know where I can find extended glock base pads? I don't want to (because it's illegal) increase my magazine capacity, I just want to add a little more real estate to grip onto when grabbing a mag from a pouch or having to rip one from the magwell. Not really a fan of the ranger plate design pads either.

Same for a S&W M&P 9 10 round magazine. I don't like the long baseplate/pad and want to swap it out for the extended base pad for extra grip.

Mag well looks totally cool, how does it work??

Here are the pics. I told ya Glock 35 Gen 4. .40cal. :D

Glock35001.jpg

New ZevTech Magwell from glockstore.com.

Glock35002.jpg

Truglo Fibre optic sights.

Glock35003.jpg

Other internal parts are. Skeletonized Stainless Steel Striker, Titanium Trigger Safety Plunger, Competition Spring Kit, Zevtech V4 Race Connector.

How it shoots......one word AWESOME:D:D:D The first 4 rounds (180gn BDX over 4.6gn of Titegroup) went into one hole that looked like a four leaf clover.:D For shiggles I shot the remaining six in the magazine as fast as I could pull the trigger.......all shots within 4" from 10 meters.

I then sent a new target down to 25 meters and put all 10 rounds into 3" with slow, deliberate, aimed fire, while resting my forearms on the bench. I then decided to see how I could do without the rest. When all was said and done there were 20 holes spaced 4" edge to edge. This Glock is amazingly accurate.

The trigger work has a great deal to do with the accuracy. I'm guessing the trigger is around 2.5lbs now. Very smooth. The trigger take up feels like a gentle hydraulic piston. Very nice , short reset. I've shot with fibre optic sights before and love them.

All in all, I am very impressed with my new Glock. I can't wait to compete with it in IPSC Standard Division.
