Yeah, the location is hush hush as I was a tag along this year and was told the I would be hanging beside the moose if I spoke of it, lol.
The weather was suppose to be warm and clear (low of 15, high of 30) for the first week but after getting there it all changed which was a good thing other than I didn't bring the right clothing other than my winter jacket. The big one in the second pic was shot on the second day at 7pm in a marsh. It was a wet and cold night as the temps changed to low of 2 and highs of 18. All worth it in the end though

I'm new to hunting so I got to watch and learn with the first one and was on grizzly watch. He went into the freezer the next day.
The trip went into a dry spell for the next 9 days as there wasn't much to see until day 11 when I got mine!! The morning was beautiful and clear and had seen him munchin about 150m out so I added a 180g Barnes TSX to diet

Took me about 20-30 mins to find him as there were huge holes in that field and he fell into one. He only made it about 50 meters to where the pic was takin. I got more "hands on" with this one and did better than I thought I would as I've got a pretty weak stomach lol
Shot taken from here into the field strait up the road.
Same spot only 12 hours later!! Weather was crazy up there and could change in only a couple of hours.
What a 180g Barnes TSX does to a moose. Very impressed with this bullet with little meat damage compared to my buddies 180 Nosler with the first moose.
Some more pics
We had brought with us two freezers which was just big enough for 2 for the ride home. Those chainsaw are the cats a$$ when it comes to spliting the ribs. My batteries are going on 5 years old now and took about 2 to do the ribs and pelvis. Didn't need and veg oil as there was plenty of fat on them both.
