My KSG arrived today! *new pics with keltec angled foregrip added 7/9/12*

I called Vault they said there are none in the country yet. Again I ask, which dealer did you get it from? Be nice to know why they are so connected. If the Canadian dealer for Kel Tec doesn't have them yet I'd love to know what kind of strings your dealer pulled to get yours in.

OP mentioned Importation; probably through one of the importers here in Canada, being a one off importation/non keltec dealer perhaps they can by-pass the distribution of Vault for us Canucks... In my opinion probably a quicker method to obtain one, while probably paying slightly more as well, heck I may have to go this route if some dealers have a 1 year wait list for them :D

Again I dont know how it all works, Im assuming that dealers can sign up for how many units and Vault will do their best to suffice, personal importations such as OP's doenst need to go through Vault in order to obtain one; being if people could personally import and obtain one now, Im sure MORE people would be going this route thus leaving all the dealers high and dry... atleast thats how I think it works...

ouch brand new tupperware shotgun. too bad that doesnt seem milspec to me. nice gun though we keep the costs low by using recycled garbage bags for our polymer.

Sure is hard to beat the good ole' Remmy 870 ain't it.
Plastic has its place, but only in low stress areas like
buffered buttstocks.

wow your remmy looks really nice!!!

i know it has a lot of plastic, but as long as it works fine then im okay with it. this is my first shotgun so i dont really know what to expect, but im happy to have it.
the gun feels quite light and seems to be well balanced.

like i mentioned in my first post, i purchased the ksg from Gun Broker (website).
it was from a store in the US. after having it shipped to an FFL, i paid to have it imported into canada. i did not purchase from a local dealer as i am way down the list and may not see one for at least a year or so.

anyways i might be able to squeeze in a trip to the range tomorrow so i can try it out. after that i plan to send it over to ardent and he can give you guys a proper range report.

here's a picture with AFG2, MBUS and my friend's eotech on it.
i still need to find a tool to remove the barrel nut so that i can slap on the carlsson enforcer muzzle device.

importing fees were just under $300

KSG - Be careful !

Barrel nuts have been notoriously difficult to remove, causing damage in attempts to remove.

High heat and a punch has worked on some and damaged others.

As yet KelTec has no tool for sale , but an appropriate sized antenna socket with minor grinding and an impact gun has been the way to go.

YIKES! These things are starting to sound like they are more trouble than they are worth. Especially to those who have waited so long and will wait still. I was on Wolverine's waiting list very early, but I think I'll be moving on to something else until they get all the bugs worked out say in a couple of years or so.

GREAT !

We need more like you , so those waiting for a practical unique shottie wont have to wait as long !:p

Each to their own, like I said, I'm not an early adopter on stuff like this when I'm not hearing great reports. I'll wait for version 2.0...
Or... get one cheap on the EE when someone tires of theirs.. LOL

Mind you "cheap" and "on the EE" rarely are seen together... ;)

More pics less talk

more pics less talk.

The lock nut is held on with 50lbs torque and medium strength loc tite (which requires 300 degrees heat to liquify).

The solution - Mac Tools antenna nut socket #L129830, interior opened up with a dremel.

I tried ordering the Carlson enforcer from Brownells and they cancelled my order, called it significant military equipment  How did you manage to get a hold of yours ?
