Sharkson said:I just put the same Smith Enterprises brake on my 22" Norc. My question for you: how did you mount it given that you cut down your barrel? Did you have splines milled into the outside of the barrel and then used the standard castle nut to fasten? Or did you use another method? Please tell.
I want to put the brake on my shortie Norc, but don't know how to attach it given that it is now threaded and has no splines?
Oh, and Vengeance, I ordered mine direct from Smith by telephone and they mailed it direct. Wasn't even opened by customs - got lucky there as no 14% tax to pay. Ordering direct is better than through Brownell's b/c Smith only wants $100 US (Brownells wants $130), which also happens to be the maximum gun parts dollar value that can be ordered without any extra paperwork.![]()

where is wildwood? I live in the NE.
Me thinks this has been brought up in the past, But your flash hider looks to have the wrong direction slots. If your rifling and your hidder are opposing would it stay tight?

Hmmmmm....that's strange. I bought it from Jeff at Valley Gunsmithing. I'll have to check on this.
Thanks, Jeff/1911.
