Put this together for myself. Was supposed to go in a TAC 21 stock but that did not work out so into an HS precision for now. I want to paint it in some desert colors for fun but here she is for now. Will start load testing tommorow.

Pierce Engineering Action and 20 MOA Rail
HS precision 5R take-off stock
Shilen Select Match #7 bbl
Temporarily got a Sightron 10-50 will be putting a Vortex PST on as soon as it comes in.

nice piece

Is this your first 260. I have been going around and around in my head about building one on a savage short action as a do it all round for hunting. I worry about getting cases though.

If you don't load your own ammunition it will be a little more difficult to find factory ammo (not impossible, just difficult). Sean has built a few 260's and also supplied me with my .260 barrel. Couldn't be happier with it.

Its a great round, will push a 140 grain bullet to close to 3000, I make my cases out of win .243 brass, once through the sizer. I have a couple bbls coming in that would be perfect to make a hunting rifle with.

Holy crap that is similar to what I have planned for my Pierce action.

Mine will be the short action in a HS stock #7 Shilen bbl chambered in 308.

Will be a varmint/target/hunting rifle.

If the Pierce action works out on that one I will getting another for a McMillan compact stock, #2 Shilen bbl also chambered in 308 as my new go-to, do-all hunting rifle. Will have to see about how tight the bolt fits the raceway, and how much dirt they can handle before using one as a hunting rifle..

What colors are you doing? I think I am just going to paint my bbl black
