well Ive had this rifle for about 10 days now, and until today only had gotten to the range once, and the results from my first trip were far from promising so I wasnt too excited about this rifle quite yet
today was much better, I tried a different bullet and powder, and it made a HUGE difference in accuracy. Before, 50 grain Speer TnT over H4198 would print 1.5-2.5" 5 shot groups, but today I tried 40 grain Barnes Varminators over Lil'Gun, and my groups averaged around an inch for 5 shots @ 100 meters, the best was .65"
Velocity with the 50 gr TnT over 4198 was 2970 fps at book max load (18.5 grains) and velocity with the 40 grain Varminator was 3350 fps average for six shots (.78" group) using 16.0 grains of Hodgon Lil'gun. LG sure is a dirty burning powder though
Rifle is beauglyful, with the nice stock, low hanging magazine, and high mounts (scope eyepiece barely clears the bolt). I mounted a Leupold FXIII 6x42 w/ elevation turret in the CZ rings that came with the rifle. Its fairly light and feels good, it should do the trick
Favorite part is the set trigger that breaks at 1 pound
and its not a Remington
