12 o'clock? Really? That would be pretty bad for any scoped rifle lol.

It's an 85L action, so it ejects the same as other 85L actions. And I know what you're getting at, but it's some of the 85M actions that have issues, not the L or magnum length.

I am pleased to hear that. I looked closely at a Kodiak, they're easy to fall in love with. Still may go for it eventually.

I wanted to get a second 85 in this chambering but got nervous from a previous 85M ordeal and ended up going for a CRF rifle for a first 375. I had not really seen a definitive answer as to how the 85Ls ejected, so thank you for that.

85Ms can literally be 12 O' clock, so yes that is problematic and not an exaggeration :/

I've had a couple 85M's and neither had issues, but I have read about some having ejection problems. Most of it seems to happen with large turret scopes and low mounts while ejecting slowly.
A longer and stiffer GreTan extractor spring is a cheap fix for that, but I agree Sako should address it or at least fix it if it's on a problem gun.

Just seen P & D Enterprises has a Kodiak 375HH in stock....tempting but I am holding out for 1 or 2 Sako m75 rifles to add to my collection.

For me I just don't think I would get the use out of a 375HH as we don't have a grizzly hunt in Alberta.
