And just for comparison sake, the only other rifle i own... .22LR vs 300WM.... lol

Shot it 3 times at the range today, no scope, no iron sights, just had to try it when i picked it up, they told me to go ahead and fire it off.... kinda just eyed it up, put 2 of 3 on the paper at 50 yards lol....

So far i really like this gun, just gotta get some glass for it now! Gun has no iron sights and i have no scope yet, so shooting it was just cuz i had/wanted to lol.... still trying to pick me a scope... probly in the next week or so... Figured i would share, gun feels real comfortable so far, and has nice balance to it. time will tell how i really like it, but good first impression so far, she kicks pretty decent too.... nice soft butt pad to soak it up tho.

Good caliber choice if you have only one "big boy" cartridge.

Looks like one of those rifles that breaks the mold in terms of looks, but may have great ergonomics. Never heard anything bad about them myself.

The T/C rifles have a good reputation, accuracy-wise.
I do find the dimension rather butt-ugly, but if it shoots
well, and you like it....what does that matter?? lol.
Enjoy your new acquisition, the 300 Win Mag is a great chambering!
Regards, Eagleye.

Thanks guys, going to look at a Bushnell yardage pro tomorrow for it, found one on a good deal, see if i like it or not. As far i can tell it feels really comfortable in my hands, and pulls up nicely, just need to get a scope on er and see how it all lines up.

Wow, that stock... The fudds are going to hate it, like the "start a protest at your front door" kind of hate it!

In which case.. I love it!

It looks good, that is a really interesting stock design, how does it handle? Looks like more of a "pistol grip" style on your trigger hand and much more grip on the upper portion of the fore stock then a conventional stock. I like it. Though I didnt know 300 WM was considered "big boy", news to me I guess.

Big boy to me, as the only other rifle i owned at this time was a .22LR 10/22 lol, the stock feels good i wanna throw the scope on before i make the final call but it just pulls uo to your should and your cheek seems to be right where it should be. But i really like it, as the way it handles so far, safety is easy to get at as well. Wanna shoot it some more before i make the call lol...

Didnt know 300 wasnt in the big boy cal LOL, big enough for me!

So my only question is. Did you buy it witht the idea that you would buy different calibre barrels and bolts for it later? Or is it just going to be a one calibre deal?

Eventually want to get a 22-250 setup for it for local hunting, and use the 300 set up when i go north for big game, is my plan. But now im broke, so for now, just the 300, lol

Ive been curious how those range finding scopes perform, please post back when you've had the opportunity to fire a few through it and how you like it.

Sounds good i will keep you posted, hope to sight it in soon, i played with the range finding aspect of it and it seems to work well, and the glass is nice and clear and gathers light decently so far, from just playing with it, ill get some seat time on it and go from there, found it used so im giving it a tru

I like the look of that gun. Where did you get it and if you do not mind me asking what was the bill? really thinking of one in 223. I bought a remington milspec in 308 and I could have got 3 guns with the dimension for the same price and all with R5. I have a Redfield Revenge scope on my milspec and it works fine for me my longest shot here on Vacouver island is about 300 yds an easy shot with this scope and rifle

put a Leupold mark IV on, and a bidpod, then even hurricane Sandy couldn't stop you from sending rounds downrange straight.

I have a fealing the recoil from that cartridge is going to Fk that scope up ... probably read some reviews online. I find even the cheaper leupolds, like the riflemans give up the ghost pretty quick on heavy recoil cartridges. Ive seen the fixed paralax go on the riflemans before. burris Might not, just a thought. Would be my only concern... if it has good warranty, dosnt matter.

Just had a quick look ... what i thought

If you can take it back i would. Id be nervouse about that scope. They are a great idea butt ... dont think they are there yet for quality

I ordered the gun from the local gun store, originally in a 7mm rem mag, but it was taking for ever to come in, the place i ordered it kept calling the supplier and they couldnt tell them when one would be in.... and told them they had a 300 win mag that would ship next day if interested, so here she is.... I paid 679+tax, so right around 760ish out the door... The scope i bought used, we will see how it fairs, ill try it for now and go from there. We shall see... i have yet to sight it in, weather has been crap!

Also not sure if it makes a difference, the scope i have is the bushnell model, only review i founds on a 300 win mag, was 50 rounds fired and still holding zero, we will see.
