My new SVT-40!

Sigh, I gotta find some time and shoot this bugger. Hopefully it doesn't blow up in my face!

It's been mentioned that it's sort of loud and the muzzle brake can be annoying to others......thoughts?

Once you shoot it you won't really care if the muzzle blast annoys anyone, you'll just want to shoot it a lot more lol. It's my favourite rifle to fire, x54r is a great round and the svt is just plain fun to shoot.

I realize they wouldnt be there originally, but are you saying none of the original stocks survived refurbishment? I thought these wrist bolts were put on during refurbishment. Or maybe I am misunderstanding you all-together.
Oh yeah, stocks are original, that's why lot of them have repairs in places of battle scars. What I meant was that originally cross bolts were not installed on issued svts, most of them installed during refurbishing, and I didn't investigate if they were installed during war time repairs. Most likely not.

So finally went out to shoot it and it was fantastic. I had two types of surplus ammo, one Russian and one Bulgarian. It was strange, the Russian had no muzzle flash to speak of, but the Bulgarian was nuts compared to it.
