Anyone here own,or have used both a Cynergy and a 725? I like the low profile reciever much better than the older Citori's and Supers, but cant decide which one. Does either one come in a sporting version with non-ported barrels? Hate those holes.

Check out the posts in the skeet/ trap/ sporting clays section boys are having some problems with the 725.

Mine has probley got avarage of 75 rounds a week since I bought it at the end of june.its been flawess .yup if its a browning with sporting in the name there is going to be more than 2 holes in the barrels :p

I'm not up to speed on them Rembolt but have read now in a couple of places that guys are having some problems as Covey had. Not a ton of posts but 6 or so from different owners. Most seem to be brand new guns. If me I would be trying to find out what is wrong before placing an order for a new one. But to each their own. take care and happy holidays

Shot a friend's Cynergy. Not my cup of tea at all. Gimmicky to me with that cut out stock and that new puttplate. 725 then.

I wouldn't call the Inflex recoil pad a gimmick, as it works. It does reduce felt recoil, so it does what it was designed to do, no gimmick. Problem is that many think its ugly and that just a personal opinion which everyone is entitled to. But it works.
There is a classic version that gives you all the benefits of the low profile receiver, mech triggers, etc, with a traditional classic stock. The answer to the Euro-style Cynergy haters.

I do have a Cynergy Feather in 28gauge, but to be truthful, I only purchased it, because Wholesale Sports was clearing them out for about $900 off, and Browning had a $100 rebate in effect. I much prefer the Citori, as I have five of them.

I own 325 and 425. A friend of mine with whom we shoot regularly shoots his 725. Another friend who is no longer with us shot Cynergy for a bit then sold that ugly piece of machinery. Maybe it fits someone but I handled it and didn't like it at all! But again, that's just me, I'm more into classics.

Shoulder both and see what you think. Cynergy feels very different from 725.

They two feel very different so better shoulder both and see. You're right by saying it's a personal choice.

I bought a satin lightning citori, field grade, hunter edition with 28" non ported barrels. 31/2" chambers, works good, longer pull on it is more comfortable for me than the short armed cynergy i tried.
Use it on everything, clays, skeet, ducks, geese, grouse. Invector plus chokes. Loving it!

I bought my Cynergy before I knew anything about brand loyalty or the legendary status of the Citori. I went to a couple shops and shouldered guns with my eyes closed. Not looking at which gun I was holding, just shouldering and "feeling" the fit of each gun. Came down to a Citori Lightning or the Cynergy Field. Cynergy won as it would shoulder and fit perfectly with beads lined up every time. It still feels like an extension of my body. I now have a Citori XT for trap and am still trying to fine tune it to fit and shoulder as effortlessly and intuitively as the Cynergy.
Cynergy does exactly what I need it to... we only missed one bird this day.
