Got my Russian suited Techsight dialed in on the weekend.
I used a pen with a long skinny point to adjust the windage, all you do is push in
the detent and then start the rotation and it works fine. My front sight post was
mounted 1/4 off center so i had to do around 8 - 10 clicks on this to get it shooting
straight. The SKS front sight tool is very hit and miss when compared to this sight system
for windage asjustment.
For elevation I used a small Robertson screw driver that worked like a charm.
Started at 25 meters and kept increasing till it was happy at 100 meters.
I was using Canadian Tire "Blue" paper towel pieces for my targets taped
to a carboard box.
On my third shooting day I pushed it out to around 200 plus meters and I could
keep at least 75% of the rounds on a 12" x 12" piece of paper which impressed me
because I have no experience with this sight system.
The grass/straw was 1 meter high so I didn't have a clear view of the whole target.
Shooting at this range involved a lot of walking through dense grass/scrub.
This sight is superb to work with and next time I'm up north I'm going to try it at
300 meters with a plywood/2x2 target system to keep the target above the grass.
All in all I'm thrilled with this sight and the peep/aperture sight system not to
mention that this a quality piece of kit.
Sounds like you had a much easier time dialing yours in.
Germany and Russia make for the perfect partners. Both have what the other
needs, Russia has a abundance of natural resources and Germany is a world
leader in high tech. The number of trade deals that have been set up between
the two in the last decade is substantial. Few people know that up until the
last year or two Germany was the worlds largest exporter, selling chemicals,
engineering, robotic manufacturing , cars..., all high tech expensive stuff,
China just recently took the lead. (the North American media doesn't cover
much of what is happening in the world apart from middle east wars)
