Got it out to the range yesterday, what a blast!! just put out a bunch of popcans to plink, and get the scope roughly sighted in. Only complaint is the hotlips magazine, works well with 20 rounds, but if you put 25 in the first few are epic failures
 
Just got mine put together. I went with the 8.5" barrel from fabsports and Burris red dot. The hand guard is a $50 Knight's Armament knock off from ebay.
Overall length is 28.25".

Ryushi - would you say that knockoff handguard is of good quality? Can't really complain about the price! Who makes the bolt handle BTW?

Faswagon - what handguard did you order?

I've changed my grip to a Magpul MIAD and am experimenting with different optics. The reddot works fine, but I need magnification! I may even test drive a short range/long range sight arrangement like this one for awhile and see if I like it. Not pretty, but it could be handy for when I'm shooting gophers.

Just the free float tubes I'm afraid.

The one Ryushi bought off eBay looks like a great deal. Shipping adds $18 to the $50 price tag, but if Ryushi confirms that it isn't a flimsy piece of aluminum pop can, it might be the one to go with if you want a railed handguard.
 
GunKings made a "Commando Kit" for the Nordic rifles that enables a person to get the look of an M4, but it's not cheap. It also involves a replacement barrel so importing it will be next to impossible.

The rail I got from Ebay is made really well but for some reason it leans to the left. Made in China. :rolleyes: The bolt handle is a Rimfire Technologies from Hawktech Arms. Just a little note, If you have a Nordic stock and are looking for a new bolt handle. Don't buy the new oversized bolt handle from RimfireSports.com, It won't fit. I know from personal experience, It interferes with the top portion of the stock.

Canfire, I ordered the Yankee Hill 7.2" handguard from Fabsports. I emailed Fabrice late last week and he told me his order was in customs, so I'm just waiting on it to get to me through him now.

I ordered rail guards and a vert grip through ebay too, seem to be decent quality. the scope I'm using is a 2x mag red dot, honestly it's pretty crappy, I think I might get a traditional style scope ie. 1-4x mag or something eventually.... might stick with a red dot though, maybe something like the reflex sight I have on my grizzly

I also ordered a front sight to get the M4 look like the gunkings setup, but it's going to require some modification, because the barrel is tapered smaller than what the sight is designed for
 
The latest revision of my Nordic obsession. Now 26.5" OAL without the flash hider - thanks to a good samaratin for hooking me up with an ER Shaw barrel!
Kid trigger may be incoming if HawkTechArms ever get's around to returning my emails. :rolleyes:
