My Norinco Type 97 Shorty - Range Report Post # 80!!!!

Hey Clobb,

Sorry the decision went against you, just because the rifle is made in China?

Current Military issue + bullpup stock + AR-15 magazines = Black Rifle

At least that's how I did the math....

Oh well, thanks for the great range report and keep the pics coming!

Thanks Shawn 357 - your math and mine are the same:cool:
I suggested changing the forum description but haven't heard a ruling on that one....It's kinda disheartening as the thread isn't getting near the hits it did on the Black Rifle forum....now it's just the Tavor there to represent for the bullpups....

I like Norinkov lerctor...

What about Krinco?

Nothing wrong to separate East guns from West guns.

However, T97 is a black rifle - that's a fact.

I can't see how the 97 could NOT be a black rifle. It is not a traditional combloc rifle as it is new manufacture and a new "ish" rifle. It is just confusing that it is in here. Maybe this area should be for communist and post-communist manufactured weapons? Or we could just put the 97 in the black rifle area:rolleyes:

If this thread is just going to be arguing about where the rifle belongs, I'm going to lock it.

It doesn't matter where it's included, as long as it's here somewhere.

Take it easy :) no need to lock the thread.....I think people are just confused  Even Greentips agrees! :D

Back on topic....

Clobb have you figure out how you're going to mount a side rail?

i think Nemo's location is perfect...I have another no drill the stock idea though...an offset rail attached to the scope rail..might work without interfering with th charging handle...i'll post a pic tonight...

Offset mount like this (non-airsoft hopefully)...would mount ahead of the aimpoint and shouldn't interfere with scope or charging handle:
