After 2700km of driving which included driving through two blizzards, both the pup and I are home. We both need to relax a bit after the trip.

Congratulations on a great dog!
So far he has been a great pet, but we will see how good he is when he gets more experience with birds. So far we have only come across a few pairs of Hungarian partridges on our walks, but he did take off on a trot toward a pair yesterday when he caught their scent as we crossed downwind from them. He trotted upwind about 20-25 yards and he was just coming to a stop when they flushed a few yards from him. Then he went over and smelled where they flushed from. He didn't quite get to point, but he smelled them from over 20 yards, and he was interested.
