My quick T1X review with range report very soon

Just tinkered with my trigger. It went from the factory 4lb 3 ounce to 19 ounce without changing the spring(Lyman electric scale)

My factory trigger came at just over 4 lbs and could be adjusted down to 1 lb 13 ounces. With a change to a lighter spring it went down to 1 lb 6 ounces. When I removed the spring altogether it came in at 1 lb 5 ounces. It would appear not all these triggers respond identically.

Mine arrived today and measuring out of box with my Lyman digital the trigger had 3lb 13oz

Minimum went down to 15oz touching mag screw. I set it to 1lb 6 ounce like I have my CZ455 with #2 Yodave spring

The trigger is crisp no matter what setting.

The only thing I dislike about this rifle without shooting it yet is the ugly hump mag and the plastic barrel thread protector (I'll turn an aluminum one on my lathe).

Maybe you should make a few more...hint hint.

Nice review! I like that you went into how the rifle feels, instead of just how it shoots.
As for CCI SV, most CCI I've tried has shot better than I expected, even the Mini-Mags. Having said that, I rate the SV as the same grade or slightly worse than SK Standard Plus.
Of the garden variety North American .22 ammunition, CCI is probably the best for QC. Federal Ultra Match gets good reviews, but I'm not sure who makes it for them.
I gave up on Winchester .22 ammo a few years ago. I had an older (think 10 yrs old) brick of Wildcat that worked ok in my Ruger mkII, then I bought two new bricks. I was lucky to get through a mag without a FTF or a stovepipe. Miserable to use.
Remington Thunderbolts were relatively reliable, but the gun looked like you'd been shooting charcoal briquettes through it, filthy stuff..

FWIW I just measured the threads on my 20" .22LR barrel and they are 1/2-28 UNEF..... I can't single point thread easily as my lathe does not go slow enough so normally drill/tap.
1/2-28 is not a standard tap one usually has so I need to go out and buy one. Bugger

Hey Paul,
Amazon has taps for 13.99 if you buy tools from them? Chinese seller by the looks of it. Might be alright for Al.??

So I measured the trigger with a digital gauge pulled 2pds 8 ounces with lots left to go down.
#### high power silhouette with my tikka Battue today for the first time and after the firsts 20 targets dropped my trigger down to around the same and man once a difference. Sure is nice to be able to adjust the trigger in the stock.

The tikka is starting to break in now might even have qualified for the 1/2” groups all day club even if it does not as I don’t own calipers it was a great day of bench and off hand shooting. The off hand was espeacially great with the rifles balance and weight.
Needless to say I’m very happy with my tikka FBF7263C-172B-4B0D-A60A-4C9B2854C6F6.jpg0AC8A11F-38E2-4FFB-B2C8-FCF8137B1AC6.jpg

Here’s the target

Nice shooting! I'm gonna go try mine out tomorrow for the first time. It's wearing a VX-1 2-7x28 in Talley Anschutz rings and sits in the OEM stock. I also added a t3x butt pad (to increase the LOP to the same as my other Tikka's. I want to have it as close as I can in weight, length and feel to my big game rifles so that it's a trainer of sorts) and a A2 flash hider. Hopefully it shoots as good as it looks.

ETA: CCI Standard Velocity and CCI Quiet are both on the menu for tomorrow's testing. We'll see how it goes.
