Seems to be a very nice fit.....
You got lucky, I ordered one for a Savage 17Hmr, but it was no good, had to be sent back, and unfortunately another one is not available, fortunately they were true to their word and a full refund was issued, including all shipping charges back to them.
It will need a lot of sanding, starting with coarse paper, and work your way up to as fine as possible, and then finish it as you wish.....
I had to give up on Richards, and was able to find a Boyds stock here locally, just about ready to put the action back in the stock, I did like the look of the Richards stock, over the Boyds, but if it don't work, can't use it....
Really take your time on the sanding, once you start adding the varthane, it will show every imperfection, I used a can of clear, and then rubbed it with 000 steel wool to dull it down, I am waiting for the trigger guard and magazine floor plate to finish
Good luck with your project, it should look good once done
