My first long range rifle, first attempt and first reloading. I think, I hit on the spot with my reloading receipt.

I don't think, I got it with the grouping. Once I get back home, I will measure and subtract the bullet diameter.

It looks like you are a couple groups short. You must shoot five 5 shot groups

Well, after several trips to the range this summer, I finally remembered to attempt this challenge. When I left home, the wind was calm, and it was a perfect day, but by the time I made it to the range, the wind had picked up substantially. I was able to pull off this challenge in the wind, but failed at the "Factory Heavy Barrel" challenge, although I would have been close on it, as I thought it was a 1/2" challenge as well, so I was giving up when I seen a group open past 1/2". Not sure if I would have been able to stay under 3/4" today anyways, but it would have been close.

Anyways here's today's results for this challenge.

Rifle
Gaulin Custom Titanium Action
6mm PPC 262 neck

5 groups measured,
.257", .405", .379", .383" and .439" @ 100 yards, with the 5 group average being .373"

The rifle is a 6mm ppc bench rest rifle that I bought used. Have just started getting the kind of groups I was expecting now to do some fine tuning.
My group sizes are .320, .218, .351, .330, .240, .407, .286, and .453. All are 5 shot groups with different powder charges and different seating depths as I am trying to figure out what this rifle likes. Set up a couple of stakes with survey ribbon to see what the wind was doing to my groups. Still no idea as lucked out on a reasonable mild day!!

Average .326

Thanks guys, I knew the rifle could do it! Just had to get my technique down and do the load developement.
As NormB said the action was one of probably 5 or 6 made by Adam Wcislo, an Ontario machinist and gunsmith that made these actions. I was very fortunate to run across NormB on the forum who has one of these actions also as I was having primer problems. Have not had a single misfire since taking his advice and switching to Federal Match Primers.
Was sweating the extra groups on the target once I saw I had been sucessful but figured I would finish all my test loads and if I screwed up it would just give me an excuse to go back to the club again anyway!
