My Rifle Shoots 1/2 MOA at 300 yards/meters All Day! Really? Prove It!

I was out today at 300 meters did not have sufficient ammo for 5 5 shot
Groups so I did 4 5 shot groups and failed:( avg. group .536"
Smallest group was .478" vertical was avg. .255" smallest vert .100"

As soon as I have success (if);-)I will post with pictures.
Today I tried with my 30-338 LM from North Shore Barrels
175 gr MK over 94 gr retumbo 3400 fps winds were gusting
15 km 10 o'clock .

Congrats to those of you who were successful excellent shooting!!
This is quite the challenge for me I will keep trying great idea OP!

Shot this target while doing load development with the 80.5gr berger this morning, thought I'd share. Looks like 24.8gr of varget is going to work.

Same rifle I passed the challenge with last time, this time I shot prone off the new bipod, it's a great addition...love it.

Shot two groups yesterday at 300 with my 6mm BR. Got 0.378 and .0448 MOA. Going to give it a crack tomorrow, hope the weather holds up.

Good on you guys, keep shooting. Contrary to what some believe, 1/2MOA is not easy (at least not for me). If it was, everybody would be doing it.

Well I finally got out to try the challenge again. I came very close. The battery in my calipers are dead so I wasn't able to get any measurements, but I measured with a ruler and it appears that I have 4 groups under 1/2 moa and one just barely over. I am including a close up of each group with a ruler if anyone would care to measure my groups with on-target.

Here is my rifle. It is a custom Remington 700 short action in an AICS chassis done up by Alberta Tactical Rifles. It is chambered in 308 Winchester. I am shooting 185gr Berger Hunting VLDs pushed by Varget in virgin Lapua brass

Here are the pictures of all 5 groups with a ruler to use for scale if anyone wants to measure it with on-target. When I get my battery replaced I will update my post and put all the info on the target.

If I can do 3 targets this year I'll be impressed with myself. I had a little rifle envy reading some of the posts.
Off to do a ladder test with 168 grainers.

I'm definitely going to try this challenge. I know I can do it once or twice. The problem is doing 5 times without any flyers. Good challenge. Not as easy as one may think.

I like it. The whole thing is an unorganized crap shoot for the shooters out there that ante afraid to hang it out on a limb. I think I will try it with my Weatherby out of the box 338/378. Good shooter but maybe not that good will have to see.' I do believe that if the shooters shoot 1 five shot group allowing barrel cool down between shots and then cleaning. Go next day shoot next group barrel cool down between shots and cleaning etc. etc. It just might happen? what say U all? Oh and one last thing I do believe that in order to achieve this requirement the participant must know the rifle and be a reloaded-er.

Eagle######r I think your strategy is just too complicated. When you know your rifle, you have a pretty good idea how warm you can get the barrel before it starts opening up groups. I also think the odds are better when the whole string is shot in a reasonably short time frame as wind conditions may not change so much. Hand loads are the best bet. Pretty special to hold 1/2 MOA with factory anything.
