All of my go to hunting boots are neoprene now. I use muck woodys elite when its cold, and rocky 400 gram neoprene side zip boots if its above zero. Awesome traction, light, warm, and they fit snug and form fitting, I can run in them. Best of all, I can cross streams and never worry about soft marshy land, with no soakers......ever.........neoprene boots are'nt like old rubber boots that are used on the farm. If im in thick forest, bushwacking, then I keep my pants outside them, for extra puncture resistance, but I have had my mucks for 2 seasons, and rocky's for 1 and they are perfect with no holes......i really ride my atv in thick tight trails, and I highly recommend neoprene boots.....you wont ever get a soaker unless you breach the top with water above the knee, and they are great for walking all day. I will never use my leather irish setters again, unless im snowmobiling. I always came home with a soaker with my irish setters.....once water reaches the tongue. Get neoprene and make fun of your buddies wet feet with there leather boots.
