Well the Bipod closed up my groups significantly.... This is better then I expected... But what really weird is the Federal Premium 150Gr give me a 2 inch groups.... So I guess its 130Gr for me in this riffle...

I'm getting similar groupings with my .270 American also, with factory ammo. The first thing I did to mine, was adjust the trigger to its lightest setting, once I got home from the gunshop.

I have a reloading press at home, in my gunroom, but with the type of consistent accuracy I am getting with factory ammo, I have'nt even bothered to reload for it yet. I don't have any dies for a .270, but once I get a decent supply of empty brass, I probably will pick up a die set & start reloading for this rifle, but since this is a hunting rifle that is achieving sub MOA with factory ammo, I don't feel the urgency to try to improve its accuracy.....its actually scary to think how good this thing could be, if a heavy barrel was available, and reloads were used.

Now time to hit the range and do a cold bore zero ....

Thats hard to complain about, how does the actual rifle go? can you do a report on the rifle itself?

I did a bit of a review on one recently. Main gripe: very unimpressive, flimsy stock. Ruger really could do better but overall, for the price, it is a decent beat-around.

My Brother has one in 270 and he is very pleased with the accuracy, in fact its going on a Sheep / Caribou hunt...

Stick with 130 gr.The .270 is at it's best with them IMHO.

Yeah I cant complain about 1/2 groups with the 130 gr.... But I will try a few different brands with the 150gr. You never know might get lucky....

At first I didnt like it that much, then I found ammo it liked.... Its a cheap gun, But it shoots and is very lightweight.... Great for the bush....

Well Got my Free ( even shipping was free ) Ruger cheekpad and my BC flip caps today in the mail....


I think this riffle is complete... Dont know if the cheekpad will stay...
