My Ruger Mark IV Hunter and 22/45 Lite race guns

Looks good. I really like the slab sided barrel but I got an amazing deal on my basically new and unfired Hunter off the EE. Heck, if they weren't the registered part of the firearm I'd suggest we do a trade.

After this thread I'm really looking forward to my Tandemkross order to arrive...sometime...maybe after I get back from Alberta next month...

Put a few hundred rounds of CCI Mini Mags down range today. The Hunter had a number of failures to feed across all 5 of my magazines. I didn't have any other ammo with me today to test. This group was about average, shot at 15 yards off a rest:

The 22/45 Lite on the other hand functioned flawlessly. It did take me a long time to get the C-More zeroed. But overall, the groups were much tighter than the Hunter at 10, 15 and 25 yards. This was the best group at 15 yards:

Can't wait for Steel Match season to begin!

Very nice it's surprising the Hunter is not as good

thegrandpoohbah was it strictly a feeding issue? When I first installed the Tandemkross trigger I had the pre-travel and post screws set exactly for a "cold gun". As I kept on firing the gun heated up and the metal expanded every so slightly and the trigger would not reset. I had to back back screw off by about a 1/4 turn and that fixed the problem. When I got home and reviewed the installation video I didn't realize that they had mentioned this.
As for ammo I have been running Blazer 40 grain and 38 grain, CCI standard velocity with zero issues. Keep us posted.

The trigger was resetting just fine. It looks like a feed angle issue, the nose of the bullet would get jammed up funny on the feed ramp and if I tried to re-rack the bolt it would slam down on the body of the cartridge and deform it.

Next time I go out I will also try swapping the bolts around. Maybe it has something to do with the VQ bolt?

Roger that. I have been looking at the VQ bolt so please keep me posted if you find that this is the problem.

Thegrandpoohbah after a long almost 3 month lock down I finally got to try the Tandemkross trigger with the Volquartsen accurizing kit in my Mark lV competition and all I can say it did not disappoint. It is the best trigger I have ever tried. I have the pre and post travel screws on the Tandemkross trigger set and its friggin amazing. Glad I took your advice.
