You realize that the SLR will accept most aftermarket triggers. Namely Geissele which are the best aftermarket triggers bar none. The use of trigger packs is a no go and was mentioned almost a year ago so it's no surprise. The mag issue is a tight mag well, some honest wear or some emery cloth should free up the mags to drop.
The anodizing is NOT DONE by MDI. They absolutely should be inspecting the work before shipment but the poor finish is not their handy work. Stop associating the anodizing with a company that didn't do it.
How does CSC address people online? Like adults asking childish ignorant questions? Here's a pro tip for all here, the customer is NOT always right. Kissing the a$$ of ignorant self entitled customers only leads to more of the same expecting even more in the future. Just my opinion from past experience.
Drilling holes was a suggestion. Did you or anyone else ever think there might be other solutions to the problem, or perhaps take it to a gunsmith to solve. The SLR was not marketed as a DIY project for the novice/beginner. It is simply a receiver set to be completed.
Learn to read. I never said you SHOULD fire a round behind a squib. I said that it likely wouldn't cause a catastrophic failure. Big difference.
I mentioned the trigger because CSC posted about complaints people had with the WK180C, I was simply saying that a cheap milspec trigger is not a deficiency in a $1000 rifle. It had nothing to do with the SLR or its ability to take whatever trigger.
I think you're missing the point again about the anodizing. I don't give two chits who did the anodizing, the point is that MDI is responsible for every aspect of every piece they put in a box and ship to a customer. If the anodizing company did a bad job then those receivers should be tossed in the scrap bin and they need to start over. You don't ship substandard parts to the customer then just try to say it's not your fault the anodizer did a bad job.
When you build a house and the crew that tiled the floor did a crap job does the new owner call the tile company or does he call the home building company and have them get the tile guys back to fix it? That's right the general contractor is responsible for the work done by everyone he hires to build the house.
You're right, kissing a$$ of ignorant entitled customers just leads to more of the same thing, just like when customers accept sub standard parts or finishing, the manufacturer is not held accountable and the sub standard parts continue to flow. Only by pointing out the deficiencies and requesting they be replaced with properly built components does the quality rise up to where it should have been in the first place.
Drilling holes is a chit suggestion, the customer should not have to modify his new receiver to be able to assemble it with standard AR parts when the receivers were advertised as being compatible with standard milspec AR parts.
Assembling an AR is not difficult and does not require special skills or training if the parts are in spec.
Maybe you need to learn to read, that comment about the squibs was towards someone else, not you.
sorry king Jenky! I just know that cox guy is bad business!
He's TSE not CSC. I quit shopping TSE when he F'd us on the Swiss Arms rifles.
