Well i got out for a bit today and had a chance to put 200 rnds through it.
I never thought i could love a gun but this thing is sweeeet:D
Yes it was shooting about 6 inches high.I might put the riser back on to see if it will center out.
I am thinking of getting one of those tactical solutions compensators to go on it.A Noveske would look sweet also.
 
I am so stoked about this. I tried the EVO stock beofre and I found it uncomfortable because there is littlespace at the top of the grip for the web of my hand. Might be a personal thing. But you can see how this stock has the same radius as the AR lowers.

I've got the carbine length free float tube, and a birdcage flash hider. I plan to buy an ergo grip too. But I havent figured out what butt to use yet. I ant something sort of smooth and contoured looking.

Thanks - it's still a work in progress. The buttstock looks funny in that picture because part of it get's lost in the glare/camo blanket. I do like the collapsible buttstock because the rifle is actually a gift for my son's upcoming birthday but I can quickly adjust the LOP for when I borrow his gun. ;)

The 18" barrel looks too long with the 9.6" handguards, but I'm hoping to replace the barrel with a 16" tacsol one in a couple of weeks. That will only cut a third of how much barrel is coming out past the handguards in the picture above, but the barrel will be a fluted bull so it should look purdy. The featherweight tacsol barrel won't just be a cosmetic improvement however, it will lighten the rifle up somewhat so my boys can someday shoot it without using a rest.

I think the rifle would look and handle better for my kids if I switched to a lower mount for the reddot too. Maybe a set (unless he's willing to break up a pair :D ) of Ronin's 30mm scope rings are in my future.

looks great. Why not get an 11.5" barrel too? That'd just be icing on the cake.

Man I'm so jealous of you nordic stock guys now :mad:

Weight and length. :D I think the 11.5" barrel looks so good on pc9's gun because he has just the right amount of barrel peeking out past his handguards. My handguards are ~2.5" longer so the 11.5" barrel would end just about even with the handguard. With the collapsible stock, I think I'd be an inch too short to stay in the non-restricted class also.

With the TacSol barrel, my gun should look similar to the top one in the press release photo below and will improve the weight balance of the gun for my kids:

Those are dovetail mount only bud..meant for the old school .22's

I think an 11.5 would look awesome completely shrouded with just the hider poking out.

I've got a similar setup and with the flash hider it has length to spare. Without the flash hider and the stock collapsed it comes in at just over 26". With the flash hider it is more like ~27.5"....

Very nice but why doesn't the top rail of the nordic not line up with you ff rail? Are yours smaller then normal? It would seem like an over site of nordic not to have the rail line up with standard aftermarket ff ar15 rails.:confused:
 
It would be alot better if it lined up flush:(Maybe the next batch will be designed proper.
I will probably end up puting a red dot of some type on it anyways.
It is alot fun to shoot and it gets lots of attention:D

If so, I hope us early adopters are given the chance to purchase the new top rail as an individual piece. Nordic is coming out with some additional accessories to enhance the AR similarity, but I haven't seen any mention of a new rail yet.

Fabrice's english is pretty good (and a million times better than my french), but I still try to avoid asking him any questions because of the translation errors. :)
 
Would anyone know if a 2 piece AR15 handguard fits on the nordic receiver. Also are they free floating and capable of hooking up with this system.

You are correct! There are companies working on making fake gas blocks that will clamp onto a .920 barrel though. The reason is to allow cheap two piece handguards to be used and to appeal to those that are looking for a more traditional AR look. Currently though, you have to use freefloat tubes.
 
I dont think they will change the scope rail height, supposed to match up with the height of an ar15. The ruger 10/22 barrel is lower, thats why the ff tubes are lower,
Hope they do a flat top tho............for our sake
