I'm a firm believer that every good rifle needs an equally good sling. So when I picked up my new Tavor last week, I quickly realized there was no way in hell I was about to entrust my new 5k investment to a seatbelt taken out of an old russian lada, and 2 knots. I scanned the forums for a better alternative but couldn't find a one stop shop for what I needed. IMO, this set up once completed should serve anyones purpose.
This is what I've come up with.

A 2 point/1 point convertible sling with quality mounts, and best of all, no knots.
Details from the front, to back:
-1 "HK clip" ($5.99) hooks nicely to the front swivel and will clip to the Magpul MS3 adapter in 1 point configuration.
-1 "VCAS" sling($49.99), the franks red hot of rifle slings in my inventory. Its all I'll use, and all you should use (thanks to darren at OSTS for converting me)
-1 Magpul MS3 adapter with QD mount ($24.99)
-1 Magpul QD socket($17.49) (or Mesa Tactical 870 QD socket as some have suggested)
-1 Gearhead works FLEX swivel.($65.00) **not featured in this install, still waiting on its delivery**
Works out to approx. $165.00 for the sling setup. Which, on a 2500 dollar rifle, is a drop in the bucket.
The only tricky part was mounting the QD socket to the rifle. **Note, this only applies to the Magpul QD mount. I was lucky to find it at a local shop here in Calgary, you may have a different process for the Mesa brand QD mount**
The machine screw that comes stock with the Magpul QD mount was only 1" long and wasnt nearly long enough to fit through the rear sling hole on the Tavor. Without having the rifle on hand, I spent about an hour in the home depot hardware aisle trying to assemble the parts needed on the fly. Ended up getting a handful of different length machine screws to determine that a 2" will suit this purpose.
For this you'll need the following:
-(1) 13/16 x 2" machine screw
-1 or 2 washers of appropriate size (your preference)

How to assemble these should be pretty self-explnatory, but should look like this once its done.

The QD socket itself sticks up approx. 1" which Isn't terrible, but leaves something to be improved. In the future I plan to drill out the sling hole slightly wider to incorporate the QD mount flush with the body of the rifle.
The only part I'm still waiting on is a FLex mount from Zahal. Once its installed its going to give this rifle a true 2pt/1pt convertible sling option. I'll update the thread once it arrives.
Like I said previously, I think this sling configuration really improves the "carry-ability" of the rifle. Hopefully this will make it a little easier for new Tavor owners.
Now all that's left is to size the sling, wrap up any excess sling with your tactical duct-tape to improve your accuracy by 15%, and head out to the range.
All I need now is for TVPP to show me where he shoots his tavor around here.....
