So after a long time coming mostly on the behalf of our beloved CFO, my new family of Springfield P9's are finally all together
. So basically I got bit by another bug and I went out searched around and bought myself two Springfield P9's and one EAA Witness. I first saw a Springfield P9 at the Orangeville gun show one year ago, it was an all smoke gray race gun with sight and comp and I love it right then but I couldn't afford it. So now I am taking my Black Badge and I needed a 9mm and I have a bit more means then before, so I found one bought it and then just got carried away
. I would have had one more that was for sale here on CGN but I was low on money again and just missed the deal, it was the IPSC Ultra and I kick myself every night for letting it get away.
All three of these are CZ75 clones designed by Tanfoglio, all the parts are made by Tanfoglio in Italy and then they were shipped to there respected US companies where they were assembled. I have read that the Springfield P9 was assembled under the supervision of Les Bear while he was running the Springfield Armory performance shop, unfortunately I am not sure if that was for all the P9's built or just the few IPSC specific versions.
1) Gray duo tone - Springfield Model P9 Standard 9mm, 4 3/4" barrel. This one has been professional parkerized and has an extended safety other then that it's stock. I have had two problems with it which have been fixed now. The first is that it came missing the safety detent and spring which I had to ordered from Numrich in the states. The second is that the rear sight fell out while shooting, after some research as to why I found this is a problem on some Tanfoglios and some blue loctite fixed it right up.
2) Blued - Springfield Model P9 Standard .40 S&W, 4 3/4" barrel. This one the bluing is amazing and is like new condition, it is completely bone stock except for and extended mag release but that will be swapped to the EAA soon. and It shows no problems as of yet but I haven't had a chance to shot it, knock on wood.
3) Silver and black duo tone - EAA Witness Mod EA9 frame with a Springfield P9 LSP Slide (Ported long slide and barrel) 9mm, 5 1/4" barrel. This one is very well used but it the cats ass, it has be converted to SA only, has had a full trigger job, full internal polishing and much more. The only issue that I have so far with is gun is that when I first shot it and only when live firing the trigger would not reset randomly. Again after some online research I found that this should be resolved by adjusting the trigger pre-travel screw. I have done this and I will see if it worked once I get a chance to go back to the range.
Here's some eye candy to have a look at

Cheers,
Evan
