Too bad about the grips, the upside is the great availability of S&W Model 29 grips. Lots and lots to choose from.

Not slippery but the finger grove dont quite work for me. I really like the look of these grips and if the bottom grove was just a little different it would be perfect for me. As pageophile says there is lots of options out there

I can group 2-3" @ 25 yds with a 5" 1911 or 4"+ revolver. But I can't hit the side of a barn with anything snubbed.

My 36 & 60 both embarrass me in public. I do slightly better with my 66, probably because of the decent sights and amazing trigger job. But in general, I can't make groups much better than 2-3" at 10-15 yards.

I'm dying to see your groups at 50 yrds. Please post back with results..

Ok I forgot to update this thread from my second to last trip out I didn't get to play past 36 yards with this but did ok for trying I think? Shooting at 36 yards at paper for the first time...Just under 5 3/4" group
