Mystery animal on trail cam pic

I'm gonna go with a Cougar. A lot of Cougars have a black patch of hair by their ears. Another reason I say it's a Cougar is because the shoulder creates a big hump on the back which the lynx doesn't have. The muscle definition is very clear which indicates to me that it's a short hair animal. Lynx have a much longer fur coat then the Cougar and it doesn't show that shoulder hump.

I will not be getting a Bushnell cam with this quality.

Nevermind the pic quality, I purhcased one of the new models in June or July and it completely failed in less than 6 months right in the middle of hunting season. Won't turn on at all. Currently on its way back to Bushnell to see if they will warranty.

Unless you ran over it with your vehicle they should replace it without question

This is like my 7th issue with Bushnell products, they are hit and miss on standing behind their products in my experience. I boycotted them for 5 to 10 years and made the mistake of giving them another chance... I guess it will be a permanent boycott this time...

Maybe they have taken you off their ignore list and will actually fix it for you LOL

From the photo it's difficult to say but either a lynx or a bobcat. I'm thinking Lynx.

Cats are elusive creatures that we rarely see compared to deer, caribou and moose. I can believe it to be true perhaps we are more apt to see wolves instead.
So it makes sense when we view a blurry snapshot we find it a little hard to fathom, it's just a very well fed adult lynx. A couple of years back there was a superb photo floating around the internet of a female lynx and her two offspring. The setting was a rural road through the forest. That photo I believe was taken not too far north from La Corey. My two bits only.
