Mystery animal on trail cam pic

Lynx are more a northern Ontario animal the way that cat moves the front shoulder is up like Cougars/ Moon river is in Muskoka district never heard of a lynx ever being trapped or shot there.

there are all kinds of lynx in the Moon river area, and not rare throughout the muskokas.
And that pic is a Lynx.

Well now you have heard of a lynx in the Moon River area because that's a lynx.
 
There are bobcats in that area, so thats likely the answer

I think people are forgetting seasonal differences in animal coats. For instance, this is a bobcat my grandfather trapped a few years back in the same general area as the OPs picture was taken. Some may think its a Lynx based on the longer fur, but in reality BOTH have longer fluffier fur in the winter.

In my limited experience viewing bobcat they were the smallest of our 'big cats' in Canada, and Bobcats tended to have spots on thier coat.
Is your experience otherwise?

Its such a hard pic to tell. If you could see the length of the legs it would be a bit easier. My gut says bobcat, a big one but Ive been wrong many times!!
