Narrow Scout Style Scope Options?

Concerning scopes of any type or magnification, including open sights. I have a friend that's now ex-military, that gives me a bad time about over-scoping everything. I have no problem with that criticism. My comeback is always the same. IF I can't see it, and see it clearly, I can't hit it. I can't see a gopher in the grass at 100 yards, so I sure as heck can't hit it. If my crosshairs cover the entire target at 300 all I'm doing is shooting into an area, not at a specific point. I've made a 350 yard heart shot on a running dear. Impressed the heck out of the guys I was hunting with, and it might be good for the ego, but it was LUCK! Sure I shoot quite a bit, and I was comfortable with my rifle, which helps improve the odds, but in the end it was LUCK.

Shooting is kind of like the guys I work with playing VLT's. I only hear about the time that they put in $20 and cash out 2 grand. I never hear about the times they sit there all night and drop $500. Shooting a 3 shot 1" group one time with my rifle doesn't make it a MOA gun or me a MOA shooter. Shooting consistent 5 shot groups into 1" gets me and my rifle closer, but it's still not going to happen every time. Just do a search on here for the MOA challenge, and you can see how few names are on the list.

Well I want an accurate hunting rifle , that I can target shoot for practice and fun as well. What I invisioned, a higher magnification long eye relief scope, doesn't exist. Maybe in the future something will be made. Till then iron sights and a 2-7x long eye relief scope will be acceptable.

Higher the magnification the greater it is to come off target or more you notice that it will be swaying.

But you don't need a high mag scout scope. Take your finger make like the Okay symbol. Well start closing the hole, that is what will happen with a scout scope the higher the magnification. Your FOV will get soo small it be useless.

Thats only a 2.5x

The issues he has are not with his eyes.

Thank you for your enlightening addition to the thread, I hope you sold those see thru rings for a number that you are comfortable with and I apologize if my 25$ offer was to far off of your $27 dollar asking price... $25 sounded like a rounder number ...
Don't let such small things piss u off to the point where u have to post rude things... I forgive you!

You forgot to mention the 2 days worth of 20 questions which I patiently answered with multiple paragraph responses addressing explanations of use, mounting, sizing and measurements , multiple requests for pics ...and the fact that I had already rounded down the shipping to help you out.

Thanks, I have a way better idea what to mount on my rifle and appreciate the feedback.

I already apologized if I offended you with my Offer, but I think you are over exaggerating.
My offer wasn't disrespectful , I had a budget and I made my offer, I apologized after realizing u were offended and wished you the best of luck .....im such a monster !

I took out my 2x20 Nikon gold crown on my pistol and my 2.5 NcStar on my Mosin. I had no problem with shooting 1.5-2" groups with the mosin and hitting a 8" gong with the pistol.

Ncstar, VISIM, Aims Sport, Hammers they're all the same scopes ( all made in China )

How many questions did you ask aimsports? And what questions did you ask?

The cheapest price for the 2.5x32 and 2-7x32 is at scopes and ammo. The 2.5 was only like 59$ + tax and shipping.
