This was debated at length on a site sponsors threat till it was locked, siting more expensive mfg for the changes needed for the frt. I'm not saying it's set in stone but the $1500 was back tracked awhile ago. I'll stay out of it though as I am no longer purchasing one myself atleast not in the first year here.

I believe SFRC was suggesting 1799 ish because they wanted some changes made and some additions to the rifle they wanted to sell. I couldn't tell you what those were though.

I will put lots through it though before I go hunting.
Honestly my experience with nea stuff has been good. Personally I've only owned their vz58 accessories. But my very good friend owned an nea15 and we put thousands of rounds through that together and never an issue.
