How long has this been in the works I wonder? Years matter from an inflationary standpoint. $1500 in 2010 dollars is almost $1700 in current dollars.
 
I'm very happy to see this platform deemed NR. I'm excited to see some range reports and reviews from knowledgeable ppl.

I was an early adopter of the NEA-15... iirc, the serial was south of 200.

Once bitten twice shy, as they say.

I'll be saving my nickels and dimes for one, but I won't be jumping on any pre-sale(s). I'll wait until the initial rush has subsided and some "first hand accounts" have hit the forum(s) before shelling out any $$.
 
Its still cheaper than an XCR-M, ATRS MH and future APC or SCAR 17. The only cheap gun gun shooting 308Win in the M305.

Yeah $1 699 isnt $1 500 but its not bad at all for an NR black rifle. If range reviews are good once these are shipped, count me in for next run and it'll become my hunting rifle, in OD please

I wouldn't expect you to defend their statement, you and SFRC are an absolute class act from top to bottom. I've just found the repeated shots they've taken at people and this forum throughout the process to have been disappointing as someone who has (and has been happy with) their products. Having said that, what they've done for Canadian gun owners with this project speaks for itself and deserves to be supported. I'd just prefer if they'd show a little more decorum, but it's still a free country, sort of.

A buddy and I were talking about this last night, He said he gets put off by their facebook comments to people. I agreed, we both may still end up ordering one once they are more available, But to act like that when NEA already has the "Rap Sheet" they do one might think they would strive to be a little more conscientious.
 
Sounds like they're continuing their grand tradition of good public relations.

They were total douchebags when they were on here. Almost hostile to any questions and seem to get off in ridiculing people.

for all you haters out there......

i clearly remember the Day the police came and took my FAL away. And now I have a chance to buy a 308 rifle that i can use for hunting. $1600 is peanuts. I will spend that on ammo the first year!
