What do people think? I’m thinking for $1000 its one great deal! The only thing I dislike is the rail is too long for my tastes but I guess baggers can’t be choosers. Anyways so far I’m liking what I see!. . . Can’t wait for the rang reports.

They're iphone pics and terrible quality... the color is way off.

This is the carbine version with 12" rail. We also have 9" and 7" front ends.

What he said.

In the end it's still just another AR.. Sorry we don't have lasers or missiles or anything else to shove in there. ;)

We're incorporating some features to provide a step up in what you should expect in an "standard" AR. For our Standard models this is what you'd get for $1050.. Billet receivers, Precision Barrel free floated under a practical light weight rail system. What do you need in an AR to be "WOW'd"?

We take this and go 2 models shorter (7.5" and 10.5") for $995... same specs.

Then we take it up a few notches to our Enhanced versions. All in time..

Were these pictures taken by your staff or a third party? I'm confused why you didn't have full control over the release pictures... I was expecting to see professional photography that showcased your new AR with style.

Don't get me wrong, these photos don't change my opinion of this rifle or NEA one bit, I'm super pumped for this rifle. It's just a little confusing, your teaser video created this big expectation for a major marketing campaign and photo release....

Perhaps you could just elaborate a bit more on this magazine article, and what exactly this was all about.

Longer rails are great to counter balance heavier stocks, and like misanthropist said, having your hand farther forward gives you more leverage and control over the rifle.

NEA said they'd have a few different lengths of rails too, so there will be something for everyone.

Again if the release pictures were done better, all 3 different configurations could have been showcased to give everyone an idea of what is coming...

Marketing people are a luxury that few small businesses can afford.

Instead of saying "you suck", perhaps you'd like to volunteer your outstanding photography skills to help a brother out?

The pictures are my fault. We were on a dead line to supply pictures and data sheets to an over sea's customer who bought over 500 on his first shipment.

We had trouble lining up a photographer and it feel to me, an iphone and a flood lamp......... we decided to releases these pics as we figured some here would flame the hell out of us if they turned up over sea's first.
