NEA-15 First Official Picture Release

Don't get me wrong, I just want to hear a few things about warranty, fit/function and all that before I put my order in. These rifles are on my radar for my first AR.

Fit and function, our standard AR off the shelf will go 500+ rounds dry with out being lubed 100% of the time.

Warranty, 3 years for sure but we are considering extending it as we are really impressed with the Dragon Scale Treatment being done on our barrels.

The pictures are my fault. We were on a dead line to supply pictures and data sheets to an over sea's customer who bought over 500 on his first shipment.

We had trouble lining up a photographer and it feel to me, an iphone and a flood lamp......... we decided to releases these pics as we figured some here would flame the hell out of us if they turned up over sea's first.

I see, that makes sense now. It's too bad things worked out that way but what can you do...

If you need someone to help with photography, I can help. I have the equipment and the skill to produce good shots. Just check out some of my recent photos on here.... Of course you would have to send me a rifle to do so...

I'm serious btw...

Marketing people are a luxury that few small businesses can afford.

That's not the case. There's lots of ways of getting free or very cheap marketing help.

1) Craigslist everywhere has a lot of underemployed or underexperienced marketing people just looking for a shot. Many of them will do it on spec, or dirt cheap.

2) If you don't care about keeping your money in Canada, resources like eLance allow you to outsource marketing to anywhere in the world for a fraction of the price, often to extremely experienced companies.

Instead of saying "you suck", perhaps you'd like to volunteer your outstanding photography skills to help a brother out?

No one said anyone sucked, we're providing constructive criticism because we like the company and are interested in the product. It's a free focus group and no one here has been anything but polite. Also, how is it the responsibility of anyone here to volunteer time to a for profit company?

Though now that you've got me thinking about it (I run a film/media production services company - though on the other side of the country), yes, I'd probably volunteer resources to help them out.

If you were stuck in that position it may have been better to release them as "leaked" photos instead of official photos. Puts a much different spin on people's perceptions when they see them and builds anticipation of the official ones. Anyway, the good news is that you're releasing them to a bunch of guys who are all going to buy it no matter what it looks like.

Since I've got your attention... maybe you could "leak" a photo of a 10" model? :)

PM sent.

I thought these rifles came with an Ergo grip. The ejection port flap is heavily scratched but I assume this is just a floor model and the regular ones are brand spanking new.

Are these rifles coming in 2 tone? Or are they all black? I know they can be customized but I prefer just all black straight out of the box!

Thanks for the pics! Pictures of the overall without any attachments is what most of us would like.

I'm a big whiner and won't buy this rifle because of the poor quality pictures. I've never seen an AR15 before and needed 500 megapixel resolution photos.

I think I'll but a Norinco, I bet they take pictures.

More pictures ...........more.........more more.....

How about a nice video.......shooting and stuff............

Then again........we can just all sit back and use our imaaagination.........like we have all been doing since the beginning.

The one very innovative thing that nobody seems to have noticed is how the forend rail interfaces with the upper receiver to ensure both rails are aligned.

Having spent some time building AR's I can tell you that getting those two rails perfectly aligned is a serious PIA. Good on ya' NEA for working out a better solution. I am impressed.

In all fairness nobody really flew off the handle about the pictures. We were all just expecting better based on NEA's teaser video which was released a while back from their marketing department. That teaser video really hyped things up to high expectations is all...

Actually that rail design is similar to the Troy MRF rails. They have little "prongs" on the upper part of the rail aswell to help center things up. I always thought it was a great design, very solid and easy to install. I'm glad NEA's rails are similar, in fact, it looks like they went a step further with that concept. It will really make them easy to sell, well done.
