NEA/BCL 102 FAQ Thread

I thought I heard is was the AR180B :nest::nest::nest::nest:

I distinctly remember a communication from NEA specifying they would not go that route as the firearms lab said it would be prohibited. The 180b should have been prohib in the first place but it slipped through somehow. Hopefully something similar is in the works ie affordable nr 223.

great thread driller212.....maybe we can keep it going as a "idea" thread if ppl can figure out how to post pics.... showing builds, swapping ideas and tinkering tips...this could be a very popular thread indeed.....

nice work :)

It'll fly off the rails like every other cgn thread

Didn't NEA bring up ages ago a 9mm version based on the 102? Or are they talking about something else?

I bet that is what it is. Good call. There is even a photo floating around of the receivers.

I would be happy to snap one up. 9mm is soooo much cheaper to shoot.

Other way around I think,NEA bought several other companies they were sourcing parts from.

That is incorrect,

PRESS RELEASE
Black Creek Labs Acquires North Eastern Arms.
August 10, 2017
Black Creek Labs, a boutique Canadian Defense contractor acquires North Eastern Arms and one of NEA’s key Machining suppliers. The transaction brings together a team of industry leaders in the field of research, development and the manufacturing of military grade firearms and defense products. Now operating under the oversight of a distinguished board and an experienced management team, the combination of these companies will enable a significant expansion in modern machining techniques and new and innovative defense products.
As a result of the acquisition, firearms manufacturer, North Eastern Arms, has dramatically increased the resources allocated to research and development, which is already evident with the opening of a new headquarters and testing facility and multiple new products featuring some first-to-market innovations. NEA founder, Jeff Hussey said, “This group of people share our dedication to continuous improvement and the result so far has been outstanding. Our new modernized manufacturing processes and additional resources have allowed us to develop several new generation products which will be released at industry leading competitive prices.”
Black Creek Labs will be focused on equipping today’s law enforcement officer and the modern war fighter through new collaborations, expanded R&D and innovative new product design. Our dedication to creating more reliable, lighter and more accurate rifles has also directly translated to new features dedicated to the Canadian Commercial Market.
Black Creek Labs expects to be announcing new commercial product lines in early 2018 at IWA Outdoor Classics in Germany."

Sounds like a good thing, lets hope they can bump up the production on the new products too.

Weird I can't find that anywhere on the FB page

Edit: just saw the ### post talking about it,looks like piston driven systems and carbon barrels are in the works...really glad I waited to get one now

And lets hope they don't jack prices...

i hear rumour the jeff h. the owner was involved with an aerospace company before starting NEA, could this just be similarly owned companies being put under one umbrella to share management, quality control, hr and accounting labour??

and of course a shared supply train... bigger orders, cheaper materials.

Possibly, no idea.

How about some gratuitous BCL 102 Pron?

That's over a year down the road and those things will cost much more on those models.
