Yes, to my knowledge NEA don't make the extra on SA and NZ rifles; it's eaten up in importation costs and covers the costs incurred by the dealers.
To clarify all you drama queens, I have an NEA incomming and was just wondering which buttstock to purchase for her.
I've seen enough bad and good about the company, I've given them some time to iron out the kinks. They are still best value for a domestic production AR for what you get in the whole package. Could care less if someone who's never owned one loves to spread hatred about them on the internet consistently. Meh. It's kind of like hating glocks because they have documented more than one case of exploding. Again, meh.
Then why is the NEA rifle always seem to be available for purchase in other market, but not in Canada without waiting. Last I heard it was made in Canada.
How readily available are they in other markets? What is the standard wait for one in South Africa?
Well, since there is #####ing on both sides of this argument, I will wade in as well.
Please note that this is the very first time I am making a comment on the company.
I pm'd them when they were still on this board, telling them I was very interested in their product, due to the extremely great pricing, but wanted to know how they were handling and rectifying their QA issues.
Not a peep out of them. In my books that was enough for me to not deal with them.
