I'm not accusing the NEA staff of doing this, I'm talking about NEA consumers...
Agreed
I'm not accusing the NEA staff of doing this, I'm talking about NEA consumers...
One thing that may be a part of the perception that hasn't been mentioned here is that many people buying NEA's are buying their first AR. So when someone who is frustrated with a problem posts " it's my first AR and my NEA isn't working and sucks", it's a little different than when a "known entity" says there's an issue. Much of the so-called cover up is more experienced users trying to help less experienced users diagnose a problem. The vast majority of AR issues are mag related - so the guy says I don't know what kind of mag it is, and those who are more experienced with AR's say something like "how the hell DON'T you know, that's critical" and the mag comes under suspicion. I think it's safe to say some few of NEA's rifles have had issues, and the majority have not. The response I've seen from NEA is amazing - you will not get as much interest in your problem from the vast majority of manufacturers, it's more common to get no interest at all.
But I have used many AR's and know the platform very well... Although Claven may know more!![]()
do some of you prefer the chinese crap and the US BS to get guns/parts?

Buy your AR, shoot it, love it, STFU about everyone else's.![]()
Sorry, but if we did that this forum would hold little interst. There wouldn't be much to talk about.
I won't buy NEA Ar15 on sheer principle.
they don't use 7075. Doesn't matter to you? WELL IT DOES TO ME.
I'm not going to pay near LMT price for nowhere near the same quality.
In terms of the AR15. Someone else has done it better. So I won't bother with them.
I've had several AR's. everything from TNW (yes. TNW) to Spikes to Norcs and I've even played with origional SP1 colts.
I run a bushmaster now; and will probably only replace it when I shoot out the barrel.
Seconded. Even when the debates are silly/insulting, its still good to be talking about it.
I'm curious as to how much of this is just internet chatter though. I mean, what percentage of gun owners are active on here or other forums? I'd guess like 5% if that. But, how many NEA owners are on here? I'd haphazard a guess and say 30%-50%
People bash Norcs here all the time. They're made of pot metal, melted axles
etc. I don't care. Mine works and if it didn't John would have replaced it.
13% of our rifles are on Canadian soil.
Umm... ok.
1) Why are you slagging TNW? Some of their stuff is decent.
2) Bushmaster isn't exactly without its horror stories. I'm glad you like yours.
3) 7075 billet receivers. Umm... ok. Not going there again.
4) SP1 = awesomeness. On this we very much agree.
Ever heard the term "the gap" when referring to the norincos? Funny how it's so common we have a name for it but they get a free pass due to price.
Sorry, but if we did that this forum would hold little interst. There wouldn't be much to talk about.
Norinco uses great materials. The ones I see which have issues are generally related to fit and finish with only a few exceptions.
