NEA fanboys/issues

Some of the ppl who are likely not going to buy anything NEA ever makes are also vocal proponents of buying a norc AR and ammo for the difference in price.

It's not my advice, but it's not bad advice either. Where Norinco is concerned though, PERSONALLY, I would not order one of their AR's unless I could inspect the actual rifle first. Some seem just fine, other less so.

Ever heard the term "the gap" when referring to the norincos? Funny how it's so common we have a name for it but they get a free pass due to price.

This is the reason why I want NEA to succeed. I want a rifle that wasn't made in China (love the made in Canada) but I don't want to spend a god aweful amount of money on a US rifle.

I do own Norinco products and their guns are perfect for what they are. I buy them cheap and shoot the crap out of them.

I want an NEA rifle because it's Canadian AND I can take it too the US when I travel.

I have to admit that it does seem like any time someone mentions an issue with some products or services or other things, you get a huge number of screaming meemees who will defend to the death that there is nothing wrong, even when there is photo/video evidence of an issue.

Hi guys!
I'm the guy who had the feed problem mentioned on page 1.

Thought I'd just chime in here..

1. Yes I did edit the post to remove NEA because fanboys were getting annoying.

2. NEA did release a few bad rifles. Too bad for them because it launched a sh!tstorm.

3. I posted it here because in my experience, CGN is full of users who are generally willing to help and give suggestions, usually much easier/quicker than going directly to manufacturer especially if it was just something I was doing wrong (I'm a noob, only had a handful of rounds through an AR)

4. NEA did not really lie or cover it up, in fact they were very proactive in helping me. They contacted me before I contacted them and were VERY accomodating and helpful.

5. I have not yet had a chance to go to the range with the new upper they gave me, but will definitely be posting back when I do.

6. Overall, my experience with NEA started off not so great, but then turned excellent. Sure I had a problem but that's life. Problems happen, mistakes happen. NEA's service after the fact was very good, they truly stand behind their product, fixed the problem and changed my mind about them through their service.

That was the original rail system with the longer clamp not the new one. That was my own gun that I built when they first came out and I haven't switched them out yet.

I thought so but I asked one of your sales persons, she indicated it was the new rail.

.

that is what I call great customer service, something that is barely impossible to geat from product made outside Canada

I haven't actually seen any real NEA fanboys.

NEA, please send me a T-shirt and hat so I can do it right!

F*ck the haters, bro!

Just go to your local range. The Fanboys and Brand Whores are there everyday.

Guys.. These concerns have already been addressed. Several batches have been released since with zero issues. While you may have to wait for your order to arrive, you don't have to wait for the QC to improve. It's already been done.

QC improvement is never done, it should be an on going effort to constantly improve your product and your manufacturing. If you believe your QC improvements are done, they are in fact, far from done.

Dude -(trying not to sound like a fanboy for a product that I don't own) I think he was referring to the QC for these particular issues (the ones about which we have been speaking for the past far too many pages) - not that ALL of their QC is done.

Even for this product, the QC can't be done, because QC is an important part of the manufacturing process. You must have stringent QC to prevent stuff from getting out the door and costing you warranty and customer service costs. Spending more time on QC in the plant, before stuff gets out the door can save you a huge amount of money in the long run. It's also pretty hard to find good QC people who can see when stuff doesn't look right and even harder to find management that will allow a very strict QC process.

So I believe my original comment stands.

The attacks on NEA are beyond retarded. I don't own one. Don't know them. Don't care.

I am very happy someone in canada is trying this. There are some very obvious attempts to derail a competitor everytime their name is mentioned. I'm sure most normal people can see whats happening.

I've had issues with every firearm I own. Some do to QC. Some issues do to design and some were not custom enough to my liking.

DSR in 338 - broken adjustable trigger lever. Where the trigger clamps onto the group you will find a small dovetail clamp style connection. There was only .010" material on both sides of the dovetail and it broke so I made my own trigger lever.

HS 50. All bolts would be loose after firing 30 rounds on average. Had to take the rifle apart, loctite all of the bolts and play again. Machining tolerance caused the bolts to loosen. So I built my version of the HS 50. I only kept the bolt and barrel. Everything else was replaced..

ATRS AR. Every trigger pull would leave the bolt in the open or closed position without chambering the next round. Called them and they fixed the issue. This rifle made a small part of me getting banned on this site for 2 weeks and I guess now I have a few enemies. :(

KelTec RFB. I would get with a square neck every now and then. Don't know why and still waiting for a response from the manufacturer.

I can go on and on but don't want to list all of my firearms here..

You get what you pay for isn't always correct.

With regards to NEA - I have to give a thumbs up for their efforts to rectify the issues with their clients asap. That's what counts! Based on the numbers 18 out of 400 is not bad at all! Trust me, I'm not a fanboy of anyone but I do give credit where it's due.

I'm the one who says " if you can do it better, by all means".

I takes a good man to make mistakes but it takes a better man to fix them.
